Movie post, prompted by dvoid's most recent post about Reign Of Fire (which i saw the day i got back from Brisbane at the beginning of the month), and also some other flickaz i've seen recently...

Was it just me, or did the chopper pilot look like Rebecca DeMornay? (sp?)

Now, if I weren't too lazy to go look up my impressions of the movie...

Eeek, I hated Reign of Fire. But you're right, the storyline has potential, but what they did with it in that film was shoddy and unimaginative.

Two cents. Spend em well. ;)

If they did a trilogy, or even a sequel, they could add all that sort of stuff in.
Although the movie really finished, so there's not exactly much room for a sequel. Quite rare these days, really. Usually they're planning the sequel as soon as they've written the script (or at least a rough outline of) for the first movie.

having a movie with a definate end hasn't stopped them making a sequal before ...even if they shouldn't have.... eg Highlander.

Despite all the lapses in story..I really like Reign of Fire...especially a certain scene towards the end involving Van Zan (anyone who's watched it should know it..and if you haven't I haven't spoiled it)
