Suzie had plotted to steal someone's life and sabotage the Hub; Gwen had almost set her free; but it was Ianto whom Jack was interrogating.
"Tell me why you had the pendant, Ianto."
"Does it matter? I heard Suzie's thoughts in time, no one was hurt."
Jack's eyes were ablaze. "Why?"
Ianto looked away. "You never let anyone know you, Jack."
Jack laughed bitterly. "Can you blame me?"
"I just wanted to understand you. It didn't work."
"It'll never work. That was your last chance."
Ianto looked up at Jack with dread, then resignation. "When will you administer the retcon?"
