He’d never really asked more about the syndicate, but Jaejoong knew some things about the group. It was all secondhand information, things he heard from conversations in parties and the like, nothing from a direct source.

He supposed Yunho could be considered a direct source, but Jaejoong knew better than to bring up the topic with him. It was a sensitive issue, something Yunho wasn’t proud of and loathed - yet it was still something that was firmly attached to his heart. As often as Jaejoong wanted to know more, he was also slightly afraid to know more.

Jaejoong had a feeling that Yunho knew of his fear, which was why he never talked about it.

The less he knew, the better.

Jaejoong sighed and turned to his side. He could hear the rain, the heavy downpour battering against the window pane, and he could hear the strong wind. The room was colder than usual, and the bed was emptier than usual.

Yunho was out on one of his tasks again.

A cold feeling gripped Jaejoong’s heart - a dangerous mixture of fear, worry, guilt, anxiety and loneliness. There were so many horrible possibilities that played out in his head, ranging from Yunho getting caught to Yunho getting killed.

Each night, he hoped that none of them came true.

He clutched the pillow in his arms tighter and reached out, hoping to find any bit of the remnants of Yunho’s warmth from the morning. He found the other side of the bed cold and completely void of Yunho.

Jaejoong shut his eyes tightly - he needed to sleep, but his heart and mind refused to let him. It was like both refused to let him sleep whenever Yunho wasn’t around to fight away his fears and to calm his heart.

He let out a long sigh and opened his eyes to calmly watch the rain slide down the glass of the window. It seemed like it took an eternity for any sort of time to pass by, so he sat up and glanced at the clock on the night stand.

It was five minutes past midnight, and Yunho still wasn’t home. Jaejoong ran his hands through his hair and contemplated calling Changmin, but decided against it. If Yunho was out, then that probably meant that Changmin was out with him. He bit his lip and thought about someone else to call, but realized that midnight was an inappropriate time to call anyone.

He would just have to wait things out on his own.

Just as Jaejoong was about to leave the bed and head for the bathroom, the door creaked open. He watched as Yunho opened the door, and Yunho looked at him in slight surprise, most likely shocked by the fact that he was still awake.

“I couldn’t sleep,” Jaejoong murmured honestly as he brought his knees close to his chest and settled his chin between them, “So I decided to wait for you.”

“I see.” Yunho walked up to him slowly, his soft footfalls on the carpeted floor being the only other sound in the room. As soon as he was standing in front of Jaejoong, he reached out and brushed a lock of hair off the former’s forehead. “You look tired.”

“I am.” Jaejoong replied, “Are you going to sleep now?”

Yunho sighed, “I have to leave in two hours.” He muttered before he sat down on the bed, his back facing Jaejoong. He stretched his arms out, “But if I get a call saying that I don’t have to go then you have me until the morning.”

“I hope you get that call then.” Jaejoong said as he inched forward. He tapped Yunho’s shoulder, and the other man turned his head to look at him, “Come closer. I’ll help you out a little.”

“What are you going to do?” Yunho asked as he backed up, bringing himself closer to Jaejoong, “I’m fine, really.”

Jaejoong pressed his hands down on Yunho’s shoulders and gave him a slight squeeze, “I’ll just help you undress.” He whispered, “I’ll do it in a completely innocent way, I promise.” He massaged Yunho’s shoulders, “You should at least try to sleep while you’re here.”

“I don’t think I can.” Yunho murmured, “I…”

“You can tell me.” Jaejoong replied as he trailed his hands downward and wrapped his arms around Yunho’s waist. He rested his chin on Yunho’s shoulders and sighed, “Don’t hide things from me.”

“What do you want to know?” Yunho asked, his voice hesitant.

Seeing as it was the first time Yunho had actually given in, Jaejoong took time to consider his questions. He bit his lip, “I’d like you to be facing me while we talk. Is that okay?”

Yunho complied with Jaejoong’s request and turned around. He crossed his legs, and Jaejoong did the same. They stared at each other, and it wasn’t long before Jaejoong reached forward and began to unbutton Yunho’s shirt slowly.

“You got wet.” Jaejoong noticed as his fingers brushed against a rain dampened spot on Yunho’s dress shirt. “I told you to bring an umbrella this morning.”

“I forgot.” Yunho murmured as he relaxed against Jaejoong’s touch. “I’ll do better and remember next time I have another thing to do this late at night.” He sighed quietly and ran his hand through Jaejoong’s hair, “I hate leaving you.”

“I hate waiting for you.” Jaejoong replied quickly as he finished unbuttoning Yunho’s shirt, allowing the fabric to pull apart and reveal a vertical sliver of Yunho’s tanned chest. “What did you have to do tonight?”

Yunho sighed, and Jaejoong moved closer to him, “I had to…I had to collect payment from someone that owed the syndicate. It really shouldn’t be a job for someone like me, but the boss told me to do it.”

“Whose job is it usually then?” Jaejoong asked as he pushed the shirt off Yunho’s shoulders and helped him take it off, “If it isn’t something you usually do, who does it?”

“One of the lower ranked members,” Yunho answered as he tossed the shirt aside and slowly coaxed Jaejoong onto his back, he hovered over Jaejoong and pressed a kiss at the other man’s collarbone, “I usually just give out orders.”

Jaejoong tugged at Yunho’s hair when the man began to pull at his shirt, “No sex tonight.” He murmured, “You might have to leave.”

Yunho sighed and rolled off Jaejoong, settling on his back. “Okay then.”

Jaejoong moved close to Yunho’s side and watched as the other man breathed in and out, a constant rise and fall of his muscled chest. He draped his arm over Yunho’s body and idly traced spirals on his tanned skin.

“If…if I ask you a question, would you push me away?” he asked, as he stopped the motion of his hand and looked up at Yunho, “It might ruin the moment, it might make you hate me -“

Yunho’s eyes fluttered shut, “Ask me. I think it’s about time I started being more honest with you anyway. If you walk away -“

“I told you I wouldn’t -“

“If you walk away, then it’s only what I deserve.” Yunho finished, his voice final and serious. He turned his head and opened his eyes, his stare penetrating and intense as he stared back at Jaejoong. “Go ahead, ask me.”

Jaejoong licked his lips in nervousness and let out a soft breath, “Why are you still with them? Why can’t you just leave?”

“I…I can’t just leave.” Yunho sat up and ran his hands through his hair. Jaejoong sat up as well and reached out, but Yunho edged slightly away from him, so he withdrew his hand and clasped his hands together, waiting for Yunho to speak.

“My reason for joining was stupid.” Yunho muttered. He glanced at Jaejoong, “You knew my father. You knew what he was like, don’t you?”

“He was distant.” Jaejoong said softly, not wanting to say anything that would hurt Yunho any further. “I can’t remember much about him because I never really talked to him.”

“I don’t even know why I thought…” Yunho shook his head, “I joined because I thought that he would love me more if I did. I followed him one night, I followed him to the syndicate’s main location at the time, and I stupidly said that I wanted to join.”

Jaejoong looked at Yunho, who was staring down at the blankets, unable to look him in the eye. “Your father…he was part of the syndicate too?”

“Yes, he was. He wasn’t as high ranked back then, but he was still a major figure, and despite his status, once a person has decided to join the syndicate, you can’t just back out.” Yunho glanced at Jaejoong, “I was thirteen when I declared that I wanted to join.”

“Thirteen?” Jaejoong stared at Yunho in concern and placed his hand on the other man’s shoulder, “What can they make you do when you’re thirteen? You were only a child then, no doubt -“

“There are lots of things a thirteen year old can do.” Yunho replied darkly, “I was taught how to use guns, martial arts, and numerous other things just because my father was a major figure. They were all breeding me to be a successor.”

He let out a shaky breath, “I became what they wanted me to be, but I don’t think I ever gained what I wanted in the first place. I killed people, all because I wanted my father’s love, yet I think that the moment I joined, he only grew more distant. I was never enough for him.”

“Yunho…”

Yunho shook his head and took Jaejoong hands in his, and it was only then that Jaejoong realized how badly he was shaking. He gripped Jaejoong’s hands tightly and looked at him, “I’ve made mistakes, but I can’t leave….not just because they’re going to hurt you and the people I love if I do, but because I don’t want to anymore.”

Jaejoong stared at Yunho in surprise. He opened his mouth and closed it, but he couldn’t think of what he wanted to say. He’d always presumed that in some way, Yunho wanted to leave.

Yunho noticed Jaejoong’s feelings and replied immediately.

“The syndicate…it’s much like a twisted family.” Yunho continued, “There are wonderful people there, like Changmin and Yoochun…but there are also people who are there only because they enjoy the power and domination over others.”

Yunho swallowed hard and his grip on Jaejoong’s hands lessened, “Before my father died, he told me that he wanted to overthrow the current boss and change the system. I’ve hated the boss ever since I’d joined, but I…I never had the courage to do something against him until…until I heard that he wanted to have you killed.”

Jaejoong bit his lip, “You…”

“I saved you, and I pretty much knew my life was forfeit.” Yunho exhaled once more, and it took him longer to compose himself. “You saw what happened to me - that was my punishment - but I had somehow managed to escape, and you know the rest.”

Jaejoong brought Yunho close and held him tightly, “Why did you leave in the morning though? Yunho, I was so worried, and I was so scared -“

“I got a call. He told me that things were okay and that I’d been punished enough. Being the idiot that I am, I believed him and left your apartment - not knowing that I had dragged you into my mess. He then knew how much I felt for you, because I’d somehow been trailed.”

A shiver ran up Jaejoong’s spine, and he looked at Yunho for him to continue. “What about your family…?”

“He knew my father had been planning to take him down.” Yunho said finally, his voice tight and filled with emotion, “He had them killed as warning to me to not rise up against him, and he had your sisters kidnapped as a final reminder - only to let them free when he thought that everything was over.”

Jaejoong felt like crying for Yunho, “I’m so sorry Yunho, I’m so sorry this happened to you.” He buried his face into the other man’s shoulder, “This shouldn’t have happened to you.”

Yunho shook his head, “No, Jaejoong…” he pulled Jaejoong away from his shoulder and looked him in the eyes, “None of this should’ve happened to you. You never should’ve gotten pulled into this, and now that I…I’ve only pulled you further into it all with me.”

“I don’t regret anything.” Jaejoong choked out, forcing Yunho to look at him. “This should never have had happened to you. You’ll be able to change things Yunho, I’m sure. I have faith in you. You can make the difference.”

Yunho smiled sadly at Jaejoong, “Or I can die trying.”

Jaejoong shook his head and kissed Yunho, “No, you won’t.” he whispered, his voice shaking as he tried to reassure Yunho. “We’re in this together now, aren’t we?” he held onto Yunho tightly, “I won’t let you die.”

Yunho was silent for a few seconds, “I love you.” He whispered, and he slowly turned his head to Jaejoong, “I don’t…I don’t think I’ll ever understand why you’ve decided to take this path with me, and as selfish as it is, I’m so happy that you have.”

Jaejoong kissed Yunho, “I’ll never regret anything. I’ll be here - until the end.” He murmured, before he pushed Yunho down onto the bed in order to prove how much he loved him.
o-o-o
Things were different from then on.

It wasn’t like Yunho had become more withdrawn or he’d secluded himself from Jaejoong entirely - he was just different. It was like his confession to Jaejoong had sparked some sort of epiphany, an idea or thought that he kept hidden from Jaejoong completely.

At the same time though, he’d also become more open - lavishing attention and gifts and never failing to repeat how much he loved Jaejoong throughout the day. Jaejoong didn’t know what to think of everything, but he refused to make a rash conclusion about Yunho’s sudden change.

As with all things that regarded Yunho, he supposed that he would just have to be patient.

Someone rang the doorbell, so Jaejoong placed down the spoon he’d been holding and made his way to the door. He walked quickly and didn’t bother to check who it was, seeing as the only visitor he had was usually Changmin or Yoochun.

However, instead of the tall younger male or the lively younger doctor, he was greeted by a middle aged man more or less his height. Jaejoong stared at him, puzzled, before he held out his hand for the man to shake.

“Are you the new neighbor -“

The older man chuckled and shook his head, “I thought you’d know me, but I assumed wrongly. My name’s Hong Kangshik.”

Jaejoong stared at the man in surprise, but he quickly recovered and shook back when the other man began to shake his hand. He drew his hand quickly to his side and took a step back, “Do you want to come in?” he asked.

“Yes, I do. Thank you.”

The man stepped inside, and he looked around. “This is a very nice place you live in. Then again, I would expect nothing lesser from Yunho. He chooses very wisely most of the time - especially when it comes to partners.”

Jaejoong hesitated for a moment before he bowed, “Thank you. I’m very happy that you think positively of me.”

“Ah, I do.” Kangshik said as he walked over to the sofa, “In fact, I was very displeased with Yunho when he didn’t introduce you to the rest of the syndicate. I think that he should at least let us higher ranked personnel meet you - I am the boss, after all.”

A shiver of fear ran down his spine, and Jaejoong forced a smile. “I’m sorry, if you may excuse me, I was cooking something. Would you mind if I just turned off the stove? I wouldn’t want dinner to burn.”

An understand smile flittered across the older man’s features, “You seem to be a very good partner.” The man nodded in approval, “Of course, feel free to do so. If you don’t mind, could you get me a glass of water as well?”

Jaejoong nodded and quickly rushed to the kitchen. He turned off the stove, but when he went to get a glass of water, he could barely grasp the glass because of how hard his hand was shaking. He swallowed hard and tried to collect himself, but he couldn’t, and he dropped the glass.

It shattered loudly on the floor, and he stared at it for a few seconds. The door to the kitchen was slowly pushed open, and Jaejoong’s eyes darted toward the door, directly to where Kangshik was standing.

“Did you cut yourself?” the man asked as he took a few steps closer, yet remaining a good distance from the shards of glass. “I wouldn’t want Yunho to accuse me of hurting what’s precious to him.”

Jaejoong shook his head and avoided the shards of glass as he walked over to where Kangshik was standing, “I’ll clean this up later, I’m sorry for being so clumsy and for disturbing you.” He wrung his hands together, “Is there a reason for your visit?”

Kangshik smiled and nodded, “In fact, there is. I’d like to discuss this matter in the living room though.”

“Of course.”

Jaejoong followed Kangshik to the living room, and he sat down directly across the other man. He clasped his hands together and waited, the unbearable scrutiny coming from the other man’s gaze being too much for him to bear.

“Is…is it something about Yunho?” Jaejoong asked as he broke the silence between the two of them. “If it’s about something else though, then I would be glad to help you in whatever it is that you need assistance with.”

Kangshik clasped his hands together and smiled, “Well, it’s partially about Yunho.” He leaned back into his chair, “If I may ask Jaejoong, do the rest of your family members have any knowledge or interest in joining the organization?”

Jaejoong shook his head, “No, it’s just me.”

“I see - such a pity though.” Kangshik noted, “I was hoping that we’d be able to use your father’s business and political connections in order to further a little expansion project that we’re planning to begin.”

Jaejoong was silent for a moment, “If it’s not out of bounds, may I ask what the syndicate plans to expand on?”

“Well, I haven’t fully thought it out yet.” Kangshik replied as he smiled at Jaejoong, “You see, the syndicate has never dealt in the drug trade before - only in the simpler issues such as money laundering and thievery. It seems like many of the younger members believe it would be better if we expanded over into the manufacturing and selling of drugs.”

Jaejoong bit his lip, “What does that have to do with Yunho?” he asked.

“Well, Yunho disproves of this.” Kangshik explained, his voice taking a calmer tone as he continued to speak, “He doesn’t think that our syndicate should be involved with something like that, and I can’t have him disagreeing with me, now can I?”

Jaejoong swallowed hard before he replied, “No, I guess not.”

“I knew you would understand.” Kangshik smiled, “I need you to help persuade him into joining the view reflected by some of his peers, so that others will agree to the idea as well. If he’s going to be my successor, he’ll have to learn to be obedient - because leaders should also be good servants after all. I’m sure you understand the importance of that.”

Jaejoong nodded, “I do.”

“Good. I’ll have one of my men meet up with you soon so that you two can discuss details regarding this project. He’s highly trusted, and I assure you that he shall only give you the best information that shall sway Yunho over to his side.”

Kangshik stood, and Jaejoong did so as well. He followed as Kangshik made his way to the door, his heart beating loudly in his chest. Just as he was about to reach forward and open the door for the other man, Kangshik turned around.

“Oh yes, I have one last thing to say.”

Jaejoong stared at Kangshik warily, but instead forced a smile. “Yes, what is it?” he asked, trying to keep his apprehension out of his voice.

“Please tell Yunho, that if he fails to agree with the rest of his peers, that there will be consequences.” The older man said easily, like he was reading out a list and not like he was giving a threat. He smiled, “Thank you for your time Jaejoong.”

He opened the door, and there stood Yunho. Kangshik glanced back at Jaejoong, “I hope you remember what I said.” He turned his attention back to Yunho and placed his hand on the taller man’s shoulder. “Such a lovely man you’ve chosen as a partner. He’s quite charming.”

Yunho forced a smile, “Thank you for saying that.”

Kangshik patted Yunho’s shoulder one last time before he walked away, a steady stream of bodyguards following behind him. As soon as the elevator doors slid shut, Yunho pushed past Jaejoong and slammed the door.

He turned to Jaejoong, vicious and protective. “What did he do to you? What did he say?” he asked, his voice low and menacing. “Did he hurt you?” He reached out and grabbed Jaejoong, pulling him closer to inspect him for any signs of injury.

Jaejoong shook his head, “No…he told me to change your mind about a matter.” He swallowed hard and looked away, “And that if I am unable to change your mind about it, he told me that there would be consequences.”

Yunho’s jaw tightened, “I’ll fucking kill him.” He hissed, absolutely seething and radiating anger. He walked away from Jaejoong and turned back to look at him, “I can’t do this anymore Jaejoong.”

The look on Yunho’s face was more than threatening, and an ominous aura radiated from him completely. He gripped Jaejoong tightly and pulled him close, gradually calming himself down before he pulled back to look down at Jaejoong.

Yunho shook his head, “I can’t be afraid of him any longer. I can’t have him bully and abuse me or you like this. I need to do something about this. I don’t want to live in fear of anyone.”

Jaejoong approached Yunho, “What are you going to do?” he asked carefully, looking at Yunho worriedly. “You’ve always told me not to be rash -“

“I’m not being rash. My father left his plans to me, and they’ve been set for a while now, and have only been delayed.” Yunho explained slowly, “I’ll…I’ll just need to set everything into effect.”

“Who’s going to help you, what’s going to happen -“

“I’ll explain things…” Yunho whispered, “When the time is right. I can’t just spout things right now, when I’m still going to organize everything, but trust me Jaejoong, when I make a move, you will know.”

“Okay.” Jaejoong said softly, staring back at Yunho for reassurance. He leaned in for a quick kiss, and when he pulled away, he spoke. “Remember, you can trust me Yunho. I’ll be here for you. When the time comes, you can trust me with -“

“Jaejoong, I trust you with my heart, body, and soul.” Yunho replied as he pulled the other man close, “I promise that you will know everything soon…I just need to know that you trust me too.”

“Of course I do.” Jaejoong murmured, “I trust you.”

“I’ll never betray that, and…I’ll always come back to you.” Yunho continued, “No matter what happens to me, I’ll come back.”

He pulled Jaejoong in close, and as much as his words were meant for reassurance, Jaejoong could help but feel the sinking feel of dread in his stomach that something terrible would happen.
o-o-o
As much as his new life had its risks, Jaejoong couldn’t help but enjoy its added bonuses. He was so used to being restrained - and although the restraints had never been tight, they’d always been there as pressures from his parents and from society’s expectations of him.

Now however, he was free to do as he wished majority of the time. While he still maintained his father’s company, it wasn’t to the same extent as he had before, and now he had other things to do with his time.

He also found himself changing, loosening up and relaxing. If before he’d ever found himself tense within Yunho’s embraces, feared of being caught, now he leaned in and found himself always wanting more.

It was a possessive selfish streak, and Jaejoong could only suppose that it’d been in him all along, just waiting to come out.

“Jaejoong, get up.”

His eyes fluttered open, and Jaejoong quirked a smile at Yunho drowsily. He reached out and pulled Yunho for a kiss in the middle of the dark room, and it wasn’t long before his head was being pressed against the back of the sofa, Yunho’s tongue leisurely exploring every corner of his mouth.

Jaejoong moaned quietly and ran his hands through Yunho’s hair, cherishing the soft feel against his fingers as his eyes fluttered shut once more.

A clear, loud cough interrupted their kisses, and they pulled away immediately.

Changmin stared at them with disapproval, “I’d prefer if you two kept your hands off each other until after all the appointments tonight.” He crossed his arms and sighed, “I’ll be waiting in the car.”

Jaejoong chuckled at Changmin’s disapproval and raised his eyes to look at Yunho. His hair was slightly mussed, but he looked as attractive as ever in his suit.

“How did your meeting go?” Jaejoong asked, trying to keep a formal tone when at the moment, other thoughts were plaguing his mind. He licked his lips and moved to stand up. “Did the man -“

Yunho’s arm snaked around Jaejoong’s waist and pulled him closer. He leaned down and kissed Jaejoong’s lips softly, “It went as planned.” Yunho murmured, his hot breath ghosting against Jaejoong’s skin, “Things seem to be going well so far baby.”

Jaejoong smiled with pleasure at the affectionate term and pressed close to Yunho, purposefully pressing their lower bodies together, “That’s good.”

Yunho glanced at Jaejoong in surprise before a wicked smile came across his face, making Jaejoong shiver in anticipation. He chuckled before he released Jaejoong’s waist and pushed him away slightly, “It seems like I’m having a bad effect on you.”

Jaejoong blinked in innocence, but his devilish smile hid nothing. “I didn’t do anything.”

A car honked in the distance, and both men shared knowing glances.

“Changmin.”

Yunho nodded and held out his hand for Jaejoong to take, “Shall we go now?” As soon as Jaejoong’s hand was in his, he pulled the other man close and whispered into his ear lowly, “We can finish things later.”

A shiver ran up Jaejoong’s spine in anticipation, and he leaned in closer to Yunho, desperately wanting for more contact.

Yes, he’d definitely changed.
o-o-o
The bar stank of alcohol and smoke, and Jaejoong wrinkled his nose in disgust. As much as he tried to be accepting and indifferent, the bar was just obviously sleazier than the rest. He held onto Yunho’s arm tighter - no one recognizing him in such a backend place - and leaned against him for support.

“I thought you said you weren’t picky.” Yunho murmured lowly as they passed by a couple of men downing wine like water. “This isn’t even as low as one can go.”

“I have taste Yunho.” Jaejoong snarled defensively, “I don’t like these backend places.”

“Neither do I,” Yunho replied as his hand settled down low on Jaejoong’s waist before he squeezed. His fingers ghosted against Jaejoong’s butt, and Jaejoong’s breath hitched slightly, “But you’re allowed more freedom in these kinds of places.”

Jaejoong tried to hide the blush on his cheeks and turned away, “I still don’t like it.”

“Well, we won’t be here much longer.”

They followed Changmin into a private room in the back and entered the dark room. Yunho immediately had the lights turned on, and it wasn’t long until Jaejoong noticed the fat, balding man sitting across him and Yunho.

“Prettier than your usual,” the man remarked as he lit a cigarette. His eyes raked across Jaejoong’s figure, and a lecherous smile made its was on his lips. He reached out a hand, “Much prettier. How would you like -”

“He’s very much mine.” Yunho snapped possessively, drawing Jaejoong close by the waist before they sat. “I would appreciate it if you kept your eyes and hands elsewhere.”

They sat down, and Jaejoong could feel the fat man’s eyes raking over his body, and just as he was about to say something, another man walked in. He glanced at Yunho, and Jaejoong noticed the look of surprise on the man’s face when he noticed him.

“You’ve brought company.”

“I did.” Yunho replied calmly.

The man faced the balding man with a look of irritation, “Get out.”

The fat man quickly scuttled out, and the newest visitor sat down on the sofa across Yunho and Jaejoong. He lit himself a cigarette and set it on the ashtray in front of him as he poured himself a glass of scotch.

Jaejoong watched him silently, wondering why no one was speaking. He kept his mouth shut though and waited as the man picked up his cigarette once more to take a drag from the cigarette.

“Any particular reason why you brought him with you tonight?” the man asked after he’d exhaled the smoke from his cigarette, “You must be here to talk about serious business if you’re going to bring your lover along.”

“I wanted to introduce him to you.” Yunho said, his hand still settled at its place on Jaejoong’s waist, “I’ve also come to talk to you about a few things.”

“No need to be so possessive Yunho, I’m married,” The man said with a chuckle as he leaned against the sofa he was sitting on. He raised his hand with a wedding band that glinted underneath the dim light, “Happily so, in case you’ve forgotten.”

“I…” Jaejoong glanced at Yunho, who was looking at him, before he turned his eyes forward and looked at the man in front of him. He stood up and quickly bowed in front of the man before he held his hand out, “Kim Jaejoong.”

The older man looked amused, “Kim Dojin.” He shook Jaejoong’s hand, “You should sit. As Yunho’s equal, I think it is only fit for you to act like it - don’t assume the role of anything else.”

Yunho’s lips quirked into a smile, and he reached out to pull Jaejoong closer once again. “You approve of him then? I think,” He looked at Jaejoong and pressed a kiss to the back of his ear, “I’ve chosen wisely.”

Dojin took a sip of his brandy and laughed, “Overconfident, as usual.” His eyes flickered over to Jaejoong, “Does your father know about this?”

“He doesn’t know the exact depth of our relationship.”

“Do you intend on telling him?”

“…someday.”

Jaejoong looked up and met Dojin’s eyes, “It’s my life to live, and I’ve chosen this path. Just because I choose to live it in secrecy, that doesn’t mean I’m untrustworthy -”

“No need to be defensive.” Dojin said with an amused smile as he studied Jaejoong carefully. He turned his attention to Yunho, “Shall we talk about business now? As wonderful as your lover is, we have pressing things to talk about.”

Jaejoong watched as a dark look crept over Yunho’s face, his face easily slipping into the dark business look that he was so familiar with. Jaejoong couldn’t help but bite his lip and avert his eyes, ashamed of how inappropriate his feelings of attraction were in such a serious moment.

“I’m here to make sure that our alliance still stands.” Yunho said seriously and his grip on Jaejoong grew a little tighter, “Kangshik’s becoming all the more pressing about the potential in the drug industry, and I refuse for the syndicate to stoop to that level.”

Dojin nodded, “It still stands.” He glanced at Jaejoong, “Your father has connections against the anti-drug trafficking movement, and if ever Kangshik’s plans do pull through, know that he’ll turn to you for help in getting past all that.”

Jaejoong nodded stiffly, “I’m aware.” He gripped Yunho’s thigh slightly, “I agree with Yunho’s stand against Kangshik. Although I’m not fully aware of his crimes, I know they are numerous.”

“Numerous and each more terrible the last,” Yunho muttered. He relaxed against Jaejoong before he turned his attention back over to Dojin, “I’ll need your help to gather everyone else who is on our side. It won’t be long before things escalate further. I need to make the first move.”

“I agree.” Dojin crushed his cigarette in the ash tray and stared at the remains of his cigarette for a few moments. “He has also sent Jaewook on the prowl in an attempt to wheedle out any potential traitors of their plans. So far, ten people have been caught.”

“Our men?”

Dojin shook his head, “Police informants.” He explained after another sip, “Poor fools didn’t know Jaewook had their scent.”

“Jaewook?” Jaejoong asked with a frown, the name vaguely familiar. He tilted his head and glanced at Yunho, “Who is he?”

“No one you want to meet.” Yunho muttered, “He’s practically Kangshik’s right hand man. I’ve grown up with him in the syndicate…and I do think he has the potential to be more vicious than Kangshik.”

“He’s such an alluring creature,” Dojin explained, his eyes focused intently on Jaejoong as he spoke, “Much like yourself.”

“Don’t compare Jaejoong to him.” Yunho snarled, “He’s nothing like Jaewook.”

Dojin held up his hands, “I’m just saying Yunho, that Jaejoong’s a valuable asset to you and in extension, the rest of us who follow you. His father has connections, and I’m sure Jaejoong is more than capable of fighting his own battles when provoked.”

“What are your plans exactly?” Jaejoong asked, cutting in before Yunho could protest any further. He squeezed Yunho’s thigh again reassuringly, but kept his eyes on Dojin as he talked. “Surely you don’t plan on just charging Kangshik?”

“I think Yunho would be the one better suited to explain.” Dojin said as he gestured at Yunho, “These are, after all, his plans and not mine.”

Jaejoong turned his head and glanced at Yunho, “What are your plans?” he asked, his tone softer and less formal.

“We’ll have to confront Kangshik.” Yunho spoke, “This isn’t a simple operation. We’ll have to take a risk in order to get what we want, and I know we’ll lose a lot on the way. If we just kill Kangshik, things will never be settled.”

“So what then?” Jaejoong asked, a note of worry in his voice.

Yunho sighed, “He’ll have to know it’s coming - and the syndicate will be forced into internal struggle, a struggle I intend to win. There’s no other way out.”

Dojin murmured in agreement. Jaejoong glanced at him, and the older man looked at him with sympathy in his eyes. “You know the risks.” He set his glass down onto the table and glanced at the two of them, “I think we’ve discussed this enough for the night.”

“But if Yunho -“

“I agree.” Yunho said, cutting off Jaejoong. He looked at him, and Jaejoong looked away. Yunho let out a sigh and stood up, “Thank you for your time Dojin.”

Dojin stood up and shook Yunho’s hand, “Of course. If anything comes up, I’ll tell you immediately.” He glanced at Jaejoong, who was still sitting on the sofa in thought before his eyes flickered back to Yunho, “Why don’t you two stay in the club for a bit longer? Enjoy yourselves, and feel free to use any of the VIP rooms.”

Jaejoong stood up and took hold of Yunho’s hand. “Thank you.” He muttered to Dojin before he pulled Yunho out of the room, anything but pleased.

The idea of losing Yunho was too much for him to bear, and he would turn to alcohol to drown his fears for the night.
o-o-o
“You should stop.” Yunho muttered as he took the shot of gin away from Jaejoong and downed it himself. He pulled Jaejoong closer, his breath ghosting against Jaejoong’s face. “You’ve had enough for the night.”

Jaejoong shook his head and averted his eyes, “I don’t like this.”

“Like what?”

“All this uncertainty,” he breathed out finally. Jaejoong lifted his eyes up and studied Yunho carefully, “I…I don’t want to be like this. I don’t want to even think…to think about dying or -“

“I told you I wouldn’t.” Yunho murmured as he pulled Jaejoong completely into his arms and buried his face into the shorter man’s neck. “Don’t worry.” He murmured, his hands snaking down to grip Jaejoong’s waist tightly, “I’ll be here, to hold, to touch, to love you forever.”

“I -“

Yunho suddenly pulled away and Jaejoong felt a rush of cold air. He looked up at Yunho in confusion, and the other man gently brushed his hand against his cheek. “I’ll just look for Changmin, and then I’ll be back.”

Jaejoong nodded and before he knew it, Yunho disappeared into the sea of people. He stood by himself for a few seconds, people pushing past him without hesitation, before he turned around to make his way back to the bar.

While his fears were abated for the moment, they were still there. Jaejoong ran a hand through his hair and sighed. Maybe, if he forgot about things, he and Yunho could still have a nice night together.

“Another gin?” the bartender asked with a flirtatious smile, “If you -“

Jaejoong shook his head and looked away, too bothered to spare any words to shoot down any of the man’s advances. “Just water.” He answered coldly, his tone more than enough to make it clear that he wanted none of the man’s attention.

After a few more minutes, another man sidled up to him. Admittedly, he was good looking - but he wasn’t anything close to Jaejoong’s type due to his overuse of hair gel and cologne. Jaejoong frowned at the man and kept his eyes away, hoping that would be enough to discourage him, but it wasn’t.

“What are you doing alone?” the man asked, his voice dripping with grease. He shot a lecherous smile at Jaejoong and reached for his hand, “If you want, I could bring you up to one of the -“

“I’m really not interested.” Jaejoong replied irritably, wondering where Yunho was. He glanced back at the man next to him, “You best try your luck elsewhere.”

The man was insistent and he pulled at Jaejoong’s arm, “You won’t be so disinterested if you try dancing with me for a bit. I’ll make it worth your while, I promise -“ Before another word could be said, the man’s arm was roughly pulled away.

“Fuck off.” Yunho snarled, and Jaejoong couldn’t hide the small smile that had come to his face after hearing Yunho so possessive. The man didn’t budge, and Yunho took a step closer, “Didn’t you hear me?”

The man shot a weak look at Yunho and nodded, quickly scurrying away. Jaejoong hid his laughter behind his hand - the first amusement of the entire evening - and looked away from Yunho.

“Why are you laughing?” Yunho snapped, “He was groping you.”

“Really? I didn’t notice.” Jaejoong replied with an innocent smile as he left the barstool and began to walk away, “I thought it was rather nice of him to make sure I wasn’t bored.”

Yunho trailed after him and pulled at Jaejoong’s wrist, “Are you -“

Jaejoong quickly turned around and pressed his lips against Yunho’s. They somehow found themselves backed into a corner, and Yunho flipped Jaejoong against it before he ran his tongue along Jaejoong’s lower lip, asking for entrance which was quickly given.

Jaejoong moaned as he felt Yunho’s hands brush against his growing erection, and he unabashedly tilted his head back, allowing Yunho to bite at the expanse of skin. He fumbled and clutched Yunho tighter, hardly caring about any curious eyes.

“Is that what you wanted?” Yunho murmured harshly as he held Jaejoong’s waist and grinded their lower bodies together, further inciting the tightness of the latter’s pants. He bit down on Jaejoong’s neck and sucked, pausing only to whisper, “Is this what you wanted everyone to see?”

Jaejoong buried his face into Yunho’s shoulder, a blush creeping across his cheeks. He gripped Yunho tightly, “No -“ his words tapered off into a moan as Yunho’s hand crept underneath his shirt to pinch at one of his hardened nipples.

“What did you say?” Yunho asked darkly as he reached forward and palmed Jaejoong’s erection through the latter’s pants. “You didn’t want anyone to know that you’re mine? You didn’t want people to know I’m yours?”

“Yunho -“ Jaejoong bit his lip as Yunho refused to stop grinding their bodies against each other sensuously, rocking against him to the tune of the loud music that was playing the background. He slowly raised his eyes and licked his lips, “Don’t take me here.”

“What happens if I want to?” Yunho asked before he licked at Jaejoong’s jaw. He reached down a pressed a gentle kiss behind the other’s ear, drawing back only to whisper, “What if I want to take you here, right in front of everyone? What if I want to fuck you against this wall?”

Jaejoong whimpered and his pants tightened considerably. He struggled to find coherent thought in his arousal clouded mind and quickly attempted to counteract Yunho’s arousing torture.

“Everyone’s going to see me then,” he replied. “Everyone’s going to see me, my face contorted in pleasure as you ram into me over and over again -“

“Demon,” Yunho muttered before he sank his teeth into Jaejoong’s skin, biting hard and determined to leave a huge bruise on the other’s neck. He licked and sucked, and Jaejoong could only mewl in pleasure.

“Take me.” Jaejoong murmured, “Take me. Let’s leave.”

“I’ll bring you upstairs.” Yunho answered as he pulled Jaejoong into his arms, practically shielding him from curious eyes. Jaejoong buried himself into Yunho’s embrace and allowed himself to be led into a dimly lit corridor.

“Tonight, I’ll sear my touch into your skin,” Yunho murmured as he handed a bouncer their card, “And make you realize how much I love you, because I do.” He captured Jaejoong’s lips in a soft kiss, “You’ll never forget this night baby.”

Yunho took the card back from the bouncer and turned around to face Jaejoong, who was standing still. “Let’s go.” Yunho murmured, his tone completely seductive and his eyes dark with arousal.

He held out his hand, and Yunho looked nothing less like the perfect image of seduction as he waited for Jaejoong to take it.

Without any further hesitation, Jaejoong reached out and took Yunho’s hand. There was really, no other option. It was futile to resist, because he knew what he wanted, and although he’d restrained it before, there was no way that he would withhold his desires ever again.

He wanted nothing as much as he wanted Yunho.
o-o-o
As soon as they were inside the room, Jaejoong was swept into Yunho’s embrace. Their mouths moved together in effortless motions, and Jaejoong allowed himself to be completely enraptured by their sensual movements. Within minutes, he was dumped onto the bed, and Jaejoong let out a breath as Yunho watched him.

“Don’t you want to continue?” Jaejoong asked as he unbutton and began to remove his pants on his own, revealing the tented fabric of his boxers. Perhaps it was the alcohol, but his reservations had flown completely out the window. Jaejoong bit his lip and fluttered his eyes at Yunho before he skimmed his hand over his clothed erection and moaned loudly.

“What has gotten into you tonight?” Yunho hissed before he pushed Jaejoong back onto the bed and shoved his hand underneath Jaejoong’s boxers, taking hold of the latter’s throbbing erection. “Why are you behaving like this?”

Jaejoong moaned wantonly and bucked into Yunho’s hand, his fingers clawing onto the bed sheets. “I - I want you,” he broke out in between moans, “I want you in me -“

Yunho groaned and began to unbuckle his pants, “If you’re going to be like this every night, I don’t know how we’re ever going to manage.” He muttered as he felt Jaejoong pull at his pants, “I didn’t know you had this kind of side.”

“Yunho please.” Jaejoong whined, unashamed and completely aroused. He bit his lip, an action he knew aroused Yunho, before he began to unbutton the other man’s shirt and push him down onto the bed, “Remind me of how much you love me.”

“Aren’t you needy tonight?” Yunho chuckled and licked Jaejoong’s chin. His hands skimmed over and squeezed Jaejoong’s ass, “Do you want me inside you now baby? Do you want me to make love to you?”

A blush graced Jaejoong’s cheeks, and he nodded.

“What did you say?”

Jaejoong frowned at Yunho and rubbed their erections together, “Baby, don’t…” he leaned down and kissed Yunho, “You know what I want…” he purred, trying to save himself from any further humiliation. He’d already thrown most of his values out of the window, and he wanted to salvage what little chastity he had left.

Unfortunately, Yunho refused to bend to Jaejoong’s request. He quickly pushed Jaejoong off him and stood up. Jaejoong watched with dark eyes as Yunho went over to the counter, took a bottle of lube, and stood at the foot of the bed.

“Tell me what you want baby.” Yunho repeated as he uncapped the bottle of lube, “I won’t come back to bed unless you say so.”

Jaejoong sat up and pouted at Yunho. “Don’t you think you’ve defiled me enough for the night?” he asked, his hand trailing lower but stopping a distance away from his erection.

Jaejoong slowly pulled off his shirt and threw it aside before he bit his lip, “Can’t you just come back to bed?”

“You’re the one who decided to act like that, my lovely angel.” Yunho replied confidently as he watched Jaejoong in amusement, “If you hadn’t decided to seduce me in such a fashion, I’d be in you by now. Now, don’t be difficult.”

“I’m not being difficult.”

“Bend to me, just this once.” Yunho murmured as he took a step closer. He leaned down and met Jaejoong’s eyes, “Let go of that pride of yours for just this moment, and tell me how badly you want me - how desperately you need me inside of you.”

Jaejoong whined, Yunho’s words only hardening his cock further. He shifted uneasily and looked up at Yunho, “I…” he faltered, and a blush quickly flooded his cheeks. His eyes quickly darted around the room for alcohol - anything to make him lose inhibitions once again - but he couldn’t find any. “I need a drink.”

“No, you don’t.” Yunho replied as he reached forward and gently tweaked Jaejoong’s nipple. “Now, say those words I want to hear from you.”

“Yunho…I…” Jaejoong’s mouth hung open, and his heart pounded in his chest. He licked his lips and spoke, “Please make love to me.” He whispered as he reached forward to run his hands through Yunho’s soft hair, “I need you in me, so badly. I want to feel you inside me, and I need you to whisper things into my ear, and I need you to take me right now, because I love you -“

Yunho immediately launched himself onto Jaejoong, roughly kissing him and pinning him hard against the bed. Jaejoong wrapped his arms and legs around Yunho, clinging onto him tightly and sinking his nails into the other man’s tanned back.

“Fuck,” Yunho hissed before he smothered his fingers with lube and pushed one inside Jaejoong, the latter moaning loudly in response. He kissed Jaejoong’s eyelids before sinking another finger in, “I’m sorry baby.”

Jaejoong shook his head in response despite the dull ache, “It’s okay.” He replied breathlessly before Yunho began to move his fingers in deeper and begin to stretch him out, preparing him for what was to come next.

Yunho pulled away briefly, and Jaejoong watched as Yunho smothered lube all over his erection. He licked his lips instinctively, and Yunho caught sight of the action.

“Fuck, Jaejoong.” Yunho pressed a soft kiss against Jaejoong’s lips before he pressed his dick slightly against the other man’s opening, “I’m sorry I rushed things.” He muttered, teasing Jaejoong and pressing only slightly against him, “I want you so badly.”

“Don’t apologize, it’s -“

The last of Jaejoong’s words tapered off into a loud moan as Yunho pushed into him roughly, sinking in completely and to the hilt. Jaejoong moaned and clutched Yunho tightly, his nails digging further into the other man’s skin.

Yunho began to thrust in slowly, and Jaejoong whined irritably. He pulled his mouth away from Yunho’s, “Faster.” He hissed demandingly, and Yunho could only smile at his newfound behavior.

“Say that again.” Yunho teased as he began to thrust in faster. He clenched his eyes tightly - Jaejoong was so tight, “You feel so good around me baby,” Yunho groaned as he thrust in faster, “You feel so good.”

Jaejoong mewled as Yunho hit against his prostate, and he scrapped his nails along Yunho’s back. “Yunho!” he moaned, his pleasure echoing throughout the room. The entire space was filled with the sound of their skin slapping together, and their pleasured moans, and Jaejoong couldn’t help but feel himself reaching his climax.

He clenched his eyes tightly - he was so close, just one more thing to push him off the edge, and he would reach his climax.

“Do you like this baby?” Yunho hissed as sweat rolled down his forehead, “Do you like the feel of me thrusting into you?” he thrust harder against Jaejoong’s prostate, and the other man was reduced to whimpering and incoherent moans. “I want you to feel me when you wake up in the morning.”

“Yunho, fuck, I - I’m so close.” Jaejoong whined, and it wasn’t long before Yunho sent a sharp thrust into him that had him over the edge and spilling his release all over their bodies. He mewled as Yunho continued to thrust and send aftershocks of pleasure throughout his body.

Jaejoong clutched onto Yunho tighter, tiredness radiating throughout his body, and it wasn’t long before Yunho came, filling him up to the brim. Yunho panted above him, and Jaejoong leaned upwards to press soft kiss against his jaw.

Yunho slowly inched down and pressed their sweaty foreheads against each other, refusing to pull out from Jaejoong. “I love you.” He murmured, “I’ll always protect you, and I’ll never leave you.”

Jaejoong’s heart swelled and he felt the irritating sensation of tears pricking at the corner of his eyes. He shot Yunho a watery smile and laughed at his own sensitivity and weakness, “You stole my words.”

“Just as easily as you stole my heart,” Yunho whispered back as he pulled out from Jaejoong and brought the man close to his chest, their bodies sticking close to one another.

Jaejoong watched silently as Yunho quickly drifted off to sleep, and just as sleep was about to take him, he whispered a few words in the still of the night.

“I’ll always love you.”
