I have nothing to add to this discussion except to say that I AM ALSO A 21-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN. So that's not really out of the norm. The fact that I've gone 21 years without being kissed? Ever? That's probably out of the norm.

I'll be nineteen in two days and I've never been kissed, either.

22 and never been kissed! I'm not sure when, but I've reached the point where I'm convinced it'll never be what I think it is, lol. (That goes for all things sexual at this point, really.)

I know what you mean. Do you get paranoid that if/when you finally get kissed, you'll have no idea how to react?

I'm still a virgin and I have serious concerns about a penis EVER fitting up my vagina. Ouch. :(

Dude, I can't even get a tampon in. How the hell am I supposed to cram a penis up there?

the first time I put a tampon in I nearly threw up because it was so traumatizing. I can't imagine a dick will be much different the first time.

22-year-old virgin here! At this rate, I'll hit 25 and still not have lost it, believe me. Maybe it's because I'm incapable of attracting men who aren't assholes, or maybe it's just because I don't care enough to really look, but it does get depressing at times. Like you, I feel the concept of virginity (and the loss of it) has been way too hyped and mythologized by society and so standards are all out of whack. I do know that I feel abnormal and lame when I think about it too much, but fortunately I don't do that very often, lol.

It's not you, it's just that most men ARE assholes lol. The stats are not in our favor.

I don't think people really should look. I think that kind of stuff comes when you're not looking.

I was 17. Part of me wanted to lose it before I went off to college and part of me wanted to save my failing relationship with my boyfriend of two years. Both not spectacular reasons, but I'm sort of glad it happened when it did, I guess. It was so-so, but, you know, it gets better.

Well you were with him for two years so I totally think that's fine, regardless of reason. And as long as you're glad it happened when it did, that's all one can really ask for! ♥

I am no longer a virgin! I actually lost my virginity this summer, and it took a few tries for me to actually lose it all the way (as in, the first time it hurt too much and my hymen didn't break all the way but the second time it was AWESOME). It was with my second boyfriend, I was 20, it was up at his parents' time share, and I kind of loved every minute of it. Except for the part where I bled a little and one of the condoms got stuck inside me.

Oops?

I love this comment so, so much, because it basically says, "Yeah, all those first-time problems are real, but sex is awesome anyway and you won't be mortified forever." ♥

It's true! I don't want to be someone who glamourizes losing your virginity, because with me, it wasn't birds singing and fireworks exploding and our bodies rose together in a crest of loooove~*

It was real and it was a little painful, but once the pain subsided I kind of made him go into different positions with me.

And all this post has served to do is remind me that damn, I really miss sex.

:( :( :( that's something I'm already concerned about. It's probably a good job I AM a virgin because if I wasn't, I feel like I'd be a nymphomaniac and/or slut. I count on enjoying it very much lol.
