oh wow the kids get to help pick their songs and the costumes? that's awesome!
and yeah i know what you mean about the two different types of instructors...i am like that too, i can be someone who likes to stay on track but at the same time i can be a person who is there for people when they need help. i'm sure you will be able to be a little of both for these students as well.
i'm sure you will be helpful to maryann...you two may be similar in many aspects, but i'm sure that both of you will notice some things that the other doesn't. you may concentrate on similar areas but that doesn't necessarily mean you will ALWAYS focus on that, and you still might not notice all the same things. and at least you guys seem as if you will work well together since you agree on a lot of things, like competition.
