I am officially a dance teacher. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I met with Maryann (MY NEW BOSS.*flail*), that dance instructor who randomly called me up and recruited me a month ago, tonight for an interview thing. That is so freaking cool, you're a dance teacher. This is really going to make you happy, because you ARE a dancer. This is too fucking cool.

She also "team teaches", meaning she likes to have two authority figures in the classroom because one will usually morph into being the srs business butt-kicker and keeping things on track while one will usually morph into being the fun cheerleader and the ones the kids go to when they are scared or have a problem. I honestly don't know which one of those I'll end up being - probably the one opposite of whatever the other instructor is?

I don't know which one I am either. The woman I teach with, Sherry, is very srs business, but I'm not necessarily a cheerleader. I try to be encouraging, but I try to be srs business at the same time. Idek. Some of my students don't take me that seriously (I'm 25, their ages are 17 - 44). It's actually the 17-year-old who doesn't listen to me because she doesn't think I know more than she does. But that's another issue entirely.
