When using the calphalon pan to bake something in the oven, make darned sure when you take it out of the oven that you put the silicone handle protector over the handle. Forgetting that it's 300 degrees and grabbing the pan by the handle hurts

Yeah, thankfully between whipping my hand back right away, and running very cold tap water over it for about five minutes, I didn't get any blisters or anything. It was just a dumb thing to do. *sigh*
