love stories... cheesy, isn't it?

I came to the conclusion that I read Rammstein slash because I like love stories. And I like them dramatic, weird, twisted. Somehow the plot type: ‘boy meets girl, they get married and live happily ever after’ never appealed to me. My favorite love story (and I read the novel when I was like 16) could be reduced to: ‘boy meets boy, they fall into ( Read more... )

art, slash

N-am citit nimic de Eugen Barbu, nici nu stiam ca ar fi scris asa ceva. Am citit, in schimb, cartea lui Yourcenar ("Memoriile lui Hadrian" parca asa ii zicea cartii?). Oricum, e super cartea tipei.

Exact, Memoriile lui Hadrian. Foarte misto cartea.

Ma refeream la Principele lui Eugen Barbu.

The novel is very good, I feel sorry I presented it so badly now. But you get an idea. And I am glad you like the idea...

Looking at your icon... haha, there are some similarities with the Roman boy...

This is why I used this icon. :) Funny because Robby also told me - some weeks ago - that my icon reminded him of some ancient sculptures. Such delicate face cannot be ignored.

BTW, your icon *the cuteness* is kind of difficult to ignore too! ;P

It's something about the shape of the lips, the eyebrows... definitely some similarities. E.W. has some classic features.

There this novel called 'the prince' by a Romanian writer, named Eugen Barbu - it has beeen translated, but I don't know nothing for sure. But you can surely find the Antinous story in Marguerite Yourcenar's book "Hadrian's memoires", which is a fabulous book, well known around the world.
