I Am Grateful

Amazingly grateful for being able to walk around the neighborhood in the sunshine today, with Jet. I'm happy that I can cook again, that I can wander around the house again, that I can actually drive to church and do everything that I needed to do there. I'm amazingly grateful for just the simple act of being able to put my hair in a ponytail and ( Read more... )

I am so glad this healed completely and you're active again. With usual caveats about not being too active, of course. ^_^

*laughs* I do love the caveats... it's hard to not just keep with the habits I've accumulated over a lifetime. I just have to acquire a few new ones to help make up...

There's this one week near the end of May where we're going to be going to Portland for a family reunion for five days and then the day after we get home, we're jetting off to New York to do a week long tour of the Big Apple with all of Jet's jazz band people and their parents. It's geared toward the activity level of middle schoolers so we're going to have to be in shape for that. But... sleep. That's going to be interesting. The reunion is pretty relaxed, though, so we'll manage it.

We shall hope the reunion is a happy warm-up for the New York jazz band marathon. (And how cool do those last five words sound, huh?)

Unrelatedly, one of my local restaurants has a big picture of Oskar Blues in Longmont up on the wall.

Woo! *laughs* With the big silo outside painted like a beer can? We see it every day. It's fun to know!

Indeed!

Also, I meant to mention: I also have simulation sickness. Only some games trigger it, and sometimes it's just a particular bit of motion in a game - Bioshock 2 during the parts where I'm in the water, and Half Life 2 when I'm getting in or out of the dune buggy are two examples.
