still looking for a smith: attn Zara (also open)

Mar 26, 2009 14:54

For whatever reasons mainly his lame typist Lleu still hasn't managed to rid himself of the iron thrall's bands around his throat and wrist. He is on the terrace lashing lathes of wood together for Arthur to practice with, but would easily wander off elsewhere given the right motive...

T: we are so sporadic. :p

His typist is fine, thank you. Kay comes out of the mansion, cursing quietly under his breath. When he sees Lleu, however, he pulls himself back together. "Good day, lad."

Lleu gives him half a grin and half a salute. "Sir."

He sighs. "I do hope you don't feel the need to suddenly confess something."

*blink and stare*

He shakes his head vehemently (much as the Wart might).

"God, no!" And then, defensively, "Anyway, I don't think I've done anything that warrants confession."

Zara does not like the Mansion at all, and goes there rarely if at all, but it's Dress Time again, so she's wheeling a barrow across the lawn towards the porch, a barrow laden with vivid splashes of colour and texture, glints of lace and beading. Her hair is scarfed back as usual, and her dress is green (make of that what you will).

"Lady, can I help?"

Having apparently forgotten that she didn't want help before, but the politeness is a reflex.

"No, y'can't," tartly. Which is as close to 'hello' as he's going to get, really.

She gets his quick, bright grin. "I shan't ask again."

If Lleu is out at night, there will be an apparently young woman reading without light, on the porch.

He should feel free to approach her. She's friendly, even if she's a vampire.

T: Turns out we averted one dramatic death at least, so, all is well. Here she is.

"Oh--I have not startled you?"

No, obviously he hasn't, if she's reading in the dark. He hesitates uneasily.

o well done anyone who's not dead!

She looks up slowly from her book. "No, you have not," she says quietly. "I do not fear the dark."

Really! Of all of mine who entered that crackplot, she and Phedre are the only ones left unscathed. I is evil to my puppetses, precious.

He swallows, saying nothing. He is afraid of the dark, even now, and is ashamed of it.
