still looking for a smith: attn Zara (also open)

Mar 26, 2009 14:54

For whatever reasons mainly his lame typist Lleu still hasn't managed to rid himself of the iron thrall's bands around his throat and wrist. He is on the terrace lashing lathes of wood together for Arthur to practice with, but would easily wander off elsewhere given the right motive...

T: we are so sporadic. :p

If Lleu is out at night, there will be an apparently young woman reading without light, on the porch.

He should feel free to approach her. She's friendly, even if she's a vampire.

T: Turns out we averted one dramatic death at least, so, all is well. Here she is.

"Oh--I have not startled you?"

No, obviously he hasn't, if she's reading in the dark. He hesitates uneasily.

o well done anyone who's not dead!

She looks up slowly from her book. "No, you have not," she says quietly. "I do not fear the dark."

Really! Of all of mine who entered that crackplot, she and Phedre are the only ones left unscathed. I is evil to my puppetses, precious.

He swallows, saying nothing. He is afraid of the dark, even now, and is ashamed of it.

She puts away the book, quietly. "There is nothing to fear this night," she says gently. "The turmoil has passed."

"Is it always like this?"

T: see comment above... world's most inconsistent typist. Finished Beroul, however.

"It had not been this way in more than half a year," Pandora replies quietly.

T: Heee, Beroul! Did you enjoy it? Also, do you want Pandora to mention Morgoth, or not? Some people want to hear nothing about it, so I figured I'd ask.

"No magic usually?"

(He didn't mean the chaos, which has pretty much passed him by. He just meant "is there always weird stuff going on." But it wouldnt' hurt to warn him.)

Some people want to hear nothing about it

hmm, how intriguing. nope, we don't mind. we're already tangentially embroiled, anyway.

and YES to Beroul: read the WHOLE THING aloud to small weasels--the 9 yr old remarked "Usually when you read to us it's not that interesting, but this was really pretty good"

“Oh, no,” she replies, gently. “The magic is ever present. I was refering to -” she pauses, probes, superficially, to see if his mind is strong enough for what she has to say.

She does not want to break an innocent unduly.

Hm, just making sure. We’re happy to throw the fun out, then. And Beroul is wonderful. I fully agree with 9 years of wisdom.

"What--"

He tilts his head quizzically. "What was that?"

am I around? probably not much, darn it.

Also, I forget my VC details... is he likely to notice her poking around in his head?

"to the last incursion of darkness," she says gently.

T: WB! Hm, unless he has some sort of magical ability, he shouldn't - Pandora is 2000 years old, so she hones the Mind Gift flawlessly.

"Different from the little magics of the House," he says quietly, catching on.

She nods, shortly. "Quite different indeed."

"Does it come from outside this place? as we do?"

Then corrects quickly, "As I do."
