Interesting things happening in my life:
-Moving into my very own 1-bedroom apartment on Saturday
-Got a new puppy named Darwin
-Am working 2 jobs at 60-hrs/wk
-Will be getting a raise in a couple of weeks
-Will have insurance again on March 1st

I really haven't been doing so hot lately.  I've been depressed for, oh...almost 6 months now.  The severity of my mood fluctuates from day to day, but the overall feeling is just...down.  I feel like I can't get out of this hole; get my head above water.  I'm working with both my therapist and my psychiatrist to fix this, but it's taking so long ( Read more... )

I find out Friday if I get the job.  Keep your finger crossed!

So that job I'm up for is the Banquet and Catering Supervisor for Embassy Suites in the Westport/Plaza area.  It sounds like a really good job, actually.  I'd be in charge of making sure everything gets done (and done well) and I'd be head of a whole group of servers and people like that.  The pay sounds decent, too.  Also, they told me I'll be ( Read more... )

So my ex from almost exactly a year ago just checked out my profile on OkCupid.  How weird is that?  He's got a different sn and he's doing a lot of different things with his life now, but man.  It's just uncanny timing.  I'm so weirded out.

I've decided that, barring any major complications, I'm going to visit Dan in Oregon in the Spring.  I've also decided that if I like it there, I'm going to move there.

Now I have something to really work for in the future.

I seem to have a few promising leads for a second job.  Fox & Hound really needs hostesses and the lady I talked to said I could probably be the closing hostess on Monday and Wednesday nights and then serve on Saturdays and Sundays.  I applied at Tanner's, too, and my dad knows someone there so that's good, too.  I'm also up for a job with some ( Read more... )

I had a really good therapy session today.  We talked about how instead of making "should" statements I should instead think of myself in the future having done whatever I don't want to do at the time and thinking about how I'd feel.  Also we talked about negotiating with my parents instead of putting blame on each other and should-ing each other ( Read more... )
