Okay so I honestly just discovered the cultverse today because, hey, it's more of a FOB-centric thing and I'm more of a Panic-centric, Pete-Wentz-fearing girl, but God did I ever fall in love with it fast ( ... )

There's so much that Ryan wants for Brendon -- he wants Brendon to believe, he wants Brendon to be saved, he wants Brendon to understand the importance of the message but most of all he wants Brendon to be a part of it; to move beyond into something bigger, to use his voice to help save the masses. It's beautiful in an extremely twisted sort of way ;)

Anyway! Yeah, more P!ATD cultfic. I'm workin' on that :)

Wow, thanks. I'm so glad that this fits in your head -- I love the cultverse so much that I really wanted to make this work, and I'm thrilled that it seems to be doing its job.

I love the idea of Pete being smart enough to understand that he doesn't need to start fresh with Brendon, that the foundation's already been laid down, and that he just really needs to get inside Brendon and mess things up enough that Brendon has no choice but to run to what he knows -- blind faith and obedience.

I actually didn't see any of the cultverse!Panic threads until after I'd posted this and was looking through your journal's cultverse tag for links to pass on to other people and so it actually never ocurred to me that Ryan would convert anyone before Brendon. My tinhat is just that intense, ahaha. The imbalance of power is something that I really want to explore, too; both P!ATD and FOB have talked about the fights that the lyricist/singer dynamic created and I think that viewed through the eyes of the cultverse, that could be really ( ... )
