My friend rexs_wife had not commented in my journal in a few weeks, so I hopped on over to her journal to make sure she was okay. She is really the only person that I "know" although it be online, that has Trigeminal Neuralgia. You never know what horrible crap could be going on in the life of someone with TN, so I get concerned when I don't see her ( Read more... )

you CAN work on disability. that whole thing about not working is a myth. No, you can't work full time but it IS possible. I have lots of clients on disability who work part time because disability isn't a lot of money but if you can't get through full time, it's def. an option.

also, getting disability is NOT easy. I have someone appeal TWICE and still hasn't gotten it. She's blind in one eye (actually...her eye was removed) and permanently catheterized due to renal disease.

I hope that it never gets so bad you have to get disability but if you do, trust me, it's not the end of the world and you'll still be able to work part time.

Basically, I was only referring to people being able to get disability that have Trigeminal Neuralgia. Most people don't understand how it can be so debilitating, basically most people don't know much about it at all. So, I thought it would be near impossible to get disability. Hearing that it DOES happen and that it looks favorable for my friend, made me feel a bit relieved ( ... )
