I'm fixing to leave for my parents' and won't be back tonight... my dad has a doctor's appt. WAY early in the morning and I'm staying the night so I can mother-sit. So I won't be online after this. I suppose I *could* drive over there way early... but we're in the process now of moving stuff (furniture, beds, basically reorganizing) in the house

I remember talking to a friend years ago about Victoria Holt novels. And she was saying that she used to like them until she figured out the formula and then she never read one after that

I don't know... just about everything to me has some kind of formula... but I do see h/c as too broad to fit into one type, since there are romance h/cs and action h/cs and dark au h/cs...

I CANNOT read historical romances, however, due to the "formulaicness." I used to try to read them, but they all seemed so much alike I gave up. However, I'm sure I probably never did read a wide enough selection of authors.
