I was going to throw a tantrum and demand a post about something else than Merlin, but somehow, this little piece of writing has distracted me. I'd really like to see more of it now.
I think I needn't ask you to point me in the direction of the fic in case anyone ends up writing it - I'll just have to follow the squeeage. (My vote goes to option b too. Not that it matters much.)
i imagine the following exchange on the exchange of names...
"You're serious, it really is 'Marlin'?" "*sigh* Yes, BRYAN." "Sounds a bit fishy to me." "Oh, ha ha ha. Coming from a bloke named after a Canadian singer?"

I like to think of it as the "angsty reincarnation futurefic" version. Mmm, so much promise in such a tiny piece.

Like sinful chocolate cake! >=D
I prefer option b too. Someone needs to write this because I'm not sure I can write angst without destroying my own soul. Or something.
ETA: Whoops. Didn't realize I accidentally screened this reply.

Hopefully someone else will write it, because I'm not sure if I can write angst without destroying my own soul.
I do admit I'm intrigued by option b...
*is a sucker for angsty reincarnation stories*

*g* Too true.
So far everyone seems to prefer option b.

I liked the pickup lines and how they weren't really pickup lines. Well done.

Merlin had forgotten so much about Arthur, those "pickup" lines didn't jog his memory =(
*cries quietly in the corner*
...you see why I question my ability to write angst?

This had me in giggles. x3

Hee, thanks. Glad to amuse =D

but how/why would merlin still be merlin if it's a reincarnation?
You have to rename him Marlin. *g*

Well I was going with "Arthur is reincarnated over and over while Merlin, forever young, just lives on and on (thus the decay of memory)"
If I rename him I'd call him Hawkeye >=D

And it's only a letter away from Marilyn.
But I suppose Marlin is still better than Mervin or Melvin...No wait, Mervin is better than Marlin, and Marlin is better than Melvin.
Bryan Adams is Canadian?
