Familiar (Merlin/Arthur, R, 189 words)

Apr 02, 2009 17:03

"You look familiar."

Merlin sighed. Was it too much to ask the man to just shut up, stand there and look pretty? He was doing all the work here after all.

"Yeah? Some queer bloke you used to beat up back in boarding school?"

"No, nothing like that." The blond man didn't seem offended. "There's something about you, I can't quite put my finger on it-"

"Look here, you don't need to chat me up, alright?" Merlin said with a hint of exasperation. "Ryan or whatever your name is, I don't care if I look like your dead boyfriend incarnate."

The man blinked, as if the thought had just slotted into place.

"I dragged you back here to suck you off." He gestured at the man’s tight trousers. "Since you seem new to this whole illicit scene, let me give you two advices: One, my ears are not handles. Two, I don't want to hear anything that's not directly related to my technique."

The man looked bemused, but at least he was no longer spouting tired lines about serendipity and lookalikes. That accomplished, Merlin dropped onto his knees.

A/N: This can be either:
a) a modern day!AU with potential happiness in the future
b) an angsty reincarnation futurefic because Merlin has forgotten what Arthur looks like beyond "blond hair, blue eyes, and mind-blowing."
ETA 04/03/09: I was going with "Arthur is reincarnated over and over while Merlin, forever young, just lives on and on (thus the decay of memory)." But whatever plotbunny bites you works!

Either way, someone needs to write it for me, y/y?
