And the glimpse she'd caught was the wrong colour to be Nymeria. She stood up. "Get in the shelter," she said, starting to slide Needle free.
And then the shadow passed between a gap in the trees and she froze, Needle halfway out. It can't be. "Wait," she gasped at Sansa.
If Father and Robb and Rickon, why not...

She looks again and see's a flash of fur the colour so familiar that her heart aches. She knows there are other wolves on the island than the direwolves, but she looks again and she gasps and drops to her knees sobbing in disbelief as through the trees comes a direwolf pup with light grey fur and bright gold eyes. Sansa's vision blurs with tears but it makes no difference, she knows what she's seen, her heart is pounding, 'You're dead, They made Father kill you.' she thinks But Father is here, and Robb! So why not Lady.'
She holds out a trembling hand and when Lady bounds towards her and licks it, looking no different from when Sansa last saw her at Castle Darry, she collapses drawing her pup into an embrace, ever well behaved the pup endures it this and licks the tears from Sansa's face.

"Oh," she managed. She cast a hopeful look at the forest, but there was no sign of any other direwolves. She looked back at the reunion, trying to ignore the slight spot of resentment she felt about Sansa getting her wolf back so easily. She never has to work for anything.
No. She pushed it aside. This was fantastic, Sansa had her wolf back. This was no time to be petty.
