Sansa sat outside Summerfell, her freshly washed and brushed hair pushed forward over her shoulder, the red gleam still bringing a smile to her face, she had kept her part of the bargain at least, though she would have been glad to return her hair to it's own colour even if she had not promised Rickon ( Read more... )

Arya walked up to the shelter, a brace of fish swinging by her side. "Sansa," she said by way of greeting, sitting down next to her and setting about putting the fish on the smoking rack they'd cobbled together.

Sansa's hair was red again, Arya noted. She paused for a moment, catching a piece of her own fringe and holding the dull brown thread where she could see it. Possibly she should consider washing it sometime? Inexplicably irritated, she swept it aside and returned to her work with the fish.

Sansa wrinkled her nose at the smell of the fish, but she supposed it was handy to have food here at Summerfell rather than relying on the compound as long they didn't expect her to go catching fish

"Hello Arya" she said politely, she watched as her sister inspected her own fringe, 'her hair need washing more than Rickons does.' she thought a tad impatiently but she said nothing mindful of her promise to their father. She struggled for something to talk to her sister about that would not cause an argument and settled on "Are you well?"

"I am," said Arya, a tad formally. She'd never been very good at talking to Sansa. Talking down to Sansa? Yes. Shouting at Sansa? Also yes. But never just having a conversation. "And you?"

"I'm much better now," she said "I seem to have become accustomed to the heat." she paused, stuck for what to say next, she could ask Arya if she had spoken to Jon yet, but that's a touchy subject and Sansa wants to get on with her sister, she just isn't sure how to.

There is an awkward silence and Sansa reflects that this shouldn't be hard, she offers "I could watch your fish for you, if you have something else to do."
