This was just heartwrenchingly beautiful - Chris and Annie's confrontation was incredibly well done, and the sudden shifting in emotions towards the end was so believable and massively powerful. Sam confusing Gene for his father was also a brilliant stroke - I've always thought that if you're going for platonic instead of slash with Sam&Gene, it should be almost like a paternal relationship, and you've captured that so wonderfully here. Definitely a lot of emotion packed perfectly into a short bit, and just brilliant overall. Great job!

Thank you! I always felt the same way about a platonic Gene/Sam, and since you're working with the slash so nicely in Jabberwocky I thought I'd explore the father/son dynamic a little.

In just one line you show how much Sam means to Chris. It got to me like it did to scotschik.

Gene protecting Sam was lovely, and Sam got hugs - yaay!! :D
