Chris picked up his head and held Annie in his eyes, trying so hard to hold back his tears. "Can you pull ‘im back again, Annie?" <- this did me in.
Can't wait for more!

I'm loving this! The scene with Annie and Chris was very sweet, and Gene's protectiveness over Sam is very well depicted: you can actually feel the worry in all his gestures and words. More soon, please!

What can I say that hasn't been said? Rge bit between Aniie and Chris was wonderful, as was Gene being there when Sam has his nightmare.

" ‘M scared Dad."

The arms stopped their comforting movement, but immediately restarted the motion when Sam’s shaking returned.

"Course you are," they said.

"They’re going to kill me. They want to kill me," Sam whispered between sobs.

"Not while I’m here they won’t."
