A little background -- Several years ago (just under 5) I moved from Oakland to Dublin (greater SF Bay Area), out of an apartment I'd been in for 11 years. Many friends helped me pack and shift (gloriana will remember!). I remember hearing about the Great Move. Given the amount of your life you had invested in that shotgun apartment, I was shocked that it happened as quickly as you did.

I'm glad you found your house-ward. Anything that causes additional peace of mind is a good thing.

It is so good to see another Kelson piece after so long. I don't remember this one, but it is easy to see it was from his post-Favrille period, when he had discovered Tiffany and wanted to put more into his stained glass than just stained glass.
