A little background -- Several years ago (just under 5) I moved from Oakland to Dublin (greater SF Bay Area), out of an apartment I'd been in for 11 years. Many friends helped me pack and shift (
gloriana will remember!). One of the Last Things (deliberately left to be part of the Last Load) that was packed was my house-ward, a stained-glass 'matrix' that was made by Kelson, that I got at Mythcon in 1982 (an event significant in my life for many reasons). I did not pack it, one of the people helping me did.
Which meant I had no idea where it was. I had, after Not Finding It for several years, decided, sadly, that it had gotten eaten by the black hole of Moving, and it was Gone.
I have moved twice since then.
Tonight, as I was going through a box with costume-bits, in preparation for Costume Con next weekend, I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!! Now, this box had been opened. I had looked in it several times before, so I was totally not expecting to find anything new in this box, so my joy is all the greater.
This is the piece:
And, while I was downloading that to post, I grabbed
