The latest episode of SV brings the confusion to epic levels.  'Epic', get it?  Spoilers below, if anyone cares.

Conner is the progeny of both Clark and Lex.  This is now known.  Clark tells Alt!Lionel he won't let him destroy Conner the way Original!Lionel destroyed Lex, 'his best friend until Lionel corrupted him'.  And Clark admits to Alt! ( Read more... )

Apparently, as Clark's DNA takes over, Conner loses Lex's memories and gets dark hair? As you all know, because I readily admit it, I don't watch the show any more. I'm going by reports on TWoP here. Someone said this is what happened, and so far no one has contradicted them. If this is indeed wrong, please feel free to point that out to me now, because I'd be very happy to know that SV is not still saying that it's Lex's DNA that makes him EVOL. Yes, his hair is now black. As to SV not saying that it's Lex's DNA that makes him evil... Well, they've gone out of their way to show in this episode that it is. Lois' words when Connor becomes sexually forceful bordering on rapist point directly at it; the words that come out of her mouth are that the side of him that's showing now is Lex's ( ... )

"...the side of him that's showing now is Lex's."

This is simply disgusting. I thought I hated this show before, but that hate was as nothing. Lex? A rapist? When the fuck did he ever force anyone like that? Is that what Lois thinks? Who ever gave her that idea? Lana, maybe? Did Lana excuse herself by suggesting, or outright stating, that Lex somehow forced her? Bullshit show.

"Alicia and Edge..."

Thanks. Names added to list.

Thanks for the info, even if it does make me want to scream.

Well, some people say he just wanted to choke her but that wasn't the way it looked on the screen or what was implied behind Connor's words.

Unfortunately, Clark-apologists and a lot of Clana fans (not all of them, mind you) have been supporting this view when the Lexana started on the show. Preposterous given what we knew then of SV!Lex. He'd never forced a woman in his life. Used some of them- his one-night stands? Sure, but so did most of them but they had all been willing participants. And Lana? I wonder where these people were when she gave herself to him in Wither; she was the one to initiate everything then and even in Fracture it was evident she was a consensual partner.

"...some people say he just wanted to choke her..."

And how often did Lex go around choking anyone, let alone women? Actually, IIRC, Lex seldom engaged in any violence himself. He did defend himself. He did kill Lionel, after Lionel tried to kill him. I'm NOT saying Lex was lily white. But Clark and his cabal engaged in far more violence. Clark has choked numerous people, and some of them were innocent of the crimes Clark suspected them of, or sometimes, of any crime at all. Clark often grabs people by the throat and shoves them up against walls just to intimidate them to get info. Didn't he do that in one of the AU episodes? The one where he never came to Earth as a baby? Didn't he grab Jimmy or someone at the DP and shove them against a wall to get info out of them?

According to Superman Homepage (http://www.supermanhomepage.com/tv/tv.php?topic=reviews/smallville-knockout) there are 97 living people and 76 people who are dead or in a coma who know Clark's Sekrit. This doesn't include the unspecified number of Zod's Kandorians in S9.

Clark tells Lois that she's 'the only person who made him feel normal'.

My reaction is also a big WTF.

"...there are 97 living people and 76 people who are dead or in a coma who know Clark's Sekrit...."

Oh, is THAT all? Well, no wonder Lex was EVOL for wanting to know what only 97+76 other people knew. No wonder only Lois really loves Clark, for ignoring what he didn't think twice about letting 97+76 other people know. /end sarcasm

I've known for years that this show is just one big WTF? Why does it still surprise me? I need a brain transplant, or something.

I love that "76 who are dead" bit. How many of them did Clark kill? How many did he let die?

But it's OK. It's over now. Or almost. I don't actually know since this forum is the only SV related thing I pay attention to.

"...It's over now. Or almost...."

Almost over. May 13. Liberation Day! I thought I could get by to the end without flying into a rage, but the crap, it stinks. The pain, it hurts. :-)))

I know it's ridiculous to care so much about a fictional character who's supposed to be a villain. I do know that. It's the lies and the double standards that get me.

"...How many of them did Clark kill? How many did he let die?"

Good question. It's interesting that nearly half of those close to 200 people who learned Clark's deep, dark secret that he hid so carefully are dead or in a coma. If this were anyone else but Clark Kent, Future Earth's Greatest Hero, one might suspect... oh, I dunno, some kinda dirty work. But he's Clark Kent, and pure of heart, not Lex Luthor, Evil Villain. So....
