The outline of the 36 chapters held up surprisingly well, with significant changes only in the last three. A character--one originally planned to die early on, actually, seems to have stolen the show a bit.

A writing group that I am in does little exercises from time to time. I was in something of a writing binge today, but a few minutes diversion looked attractive. So, this was the first such exercise I've actually done.

The portion in red was the given starter; the writer is to make a mini-short story from those initial words.

I've just written 12,400 words today of Age of Octans, not counting tweaks to the outline.

Yesterday was 6,800 words, ( and I'm pretty happy. )
