Coping mechanisms
They buried my aunt and uncle. I can't imagine what it is like for my cousins who are their immediate family. I've sent them my support but I understand that grief is a process and I'm trying not to burden them with comments that may seem "automated".
I've noticed that the family is communicating more even if it's just to check in with each other. ( Read more... ) -
Rest in Peace
Yesterday was a dark day for me. The night before last night I found out one of my aunts (maternal grandfather's sister) had passed away from COVID-19 complications. Then by morning I found out that another aunt (paternal grandmother's sister) also passed away. Although it was from not being able to make it through surgery (non-COVID-19).

A Time to Consider
So I've finally gotten a chance to showcase some history at work and I'm happy to see it used. Just comparing how current events and the university's reaction to it is similar to what happened in the 1918-1920 period.

Work from Home (Not by Fifth Harmony)
So yesterday I took some time to go back to the office and get some equipment.
I have created a mini digitization station if you will. The top shelf is the (photo)scanner. The second shelf is the TV for the VCR/DVD player & video capture device on the third shelf. The forth shelf is my music player that can convert vinyl, cassettes, etc into mp3 ( Read more... ) -
In the beginning
It's coming up this week being at home/working from home since March 23rd 2020. I figured I'd start keeping track of my thoughts and activities during this COVID-19 event.
