Coping mechanisms
They buried my aunt and uncle. I can't imagine what it is like for my cousins who are their immediate family. I've sent them my support but I understand that grief is a process and I'm trying not to burden them with comments that may seem "automated".
I've noticed that the family is communicating more even if it's just to check in with each other. The younger gen like myself was already doing that during the start of the quarantine. Now I've noticed more of the ones from my aunts gen or close to it starting to be on social media to catch up with us.
I don't know if it's just cabin fever or maybe it is me feeling my aunt's love of shopping but I kinda went on a little spree. Really it's just more equipment to do more documenting/creating content. I'm wondering why don't I let my job buy it for me but oh well.
I did get a really nice shirt. I'll dedicate that to her.
