“There you are,” G-Dragon sat himself next to Yoochun who was lying at the roof of his mansion.
He had been trying to find Yoochun all morning because the other man was not beside him when he woke up. He was panicked, scared that Yoochun had decided to leave him for the sake of Jaejoong. Fuck that Jaejoong, G-Dragon swore, why did I agree to this anyway? Then he remembered, because it was Yoochun asking.
Yoochun only looked at G-Dragon beside him from the corner of his eyes and smiled, before averted back his gaze to the blue sky above them. The sat in silence, both drawn on their own thoughts, as the clouds drifted above them. Yoochun closed his eyes, and G-Dragon knew he must have been thinking of Jaejoong and the bond. G-Dragon had gone through old archives today and he found a way to break the bond without Yoochun losing his power. All he needed to do was make Jaejoong promise to hand his power to Yoochun even without commitment; in the end Jaejoong would lose his sixth sense and will be worthless to other demons.
“G?” Yoochun suddenly said.
G-Dragon made a noise to show Yoochun he was listening.
“Let’s just forget about the throne, shall we?”
G-Dragon raised an eyebrow and looked at his lover in surprise, “What?”
Yoochun sighed, “Just forget it, I’ll never be better than Yunho…”
“Chun-ah…”
“No, G, let’s face the reality. Yunho’s perfect! He’s smart, talented, strong, everything Father ever wanted. Me? I’m a burden…” Yoochun rolled to his side that his back was on G-Dragon. “I’d never be better than Yunho.”
“Yoochun…”
“Prepare the ceremony, I’m breaking the bond.”
“You serious?” Yoochun made a noise to confirm. G-Dragon sighed, “You know, the Yoochun I love just don’t give up this easy.”
“This easy?” Yoochun sat up and turned back to face his lover, “Sure, you’re not the one with the perfect brother, G!”
“But I’ll support you with all my might! Isn’t that enough for you to keep trying?”
Yoochun buried his face on G-Dragon’s neck, “You’re enough, you’re always enough. You’re the only one Yunho can’t take away from me, G. That’s why, let’s just forget it and live normally, okay?”
G-Dragon sighed and nodded. He hated seeing Yoochun like that, comparing himself to his perfect brother. They had always been compared since they were little, and Yoochun was not stupid, he was just not as smart as Yunho. G-Dragon knew what Yoochun was able to do once he put his mind into it, but he never got the support that he became pessimistic of his power. Just then, a crazy idea flashed on his head. Maybe, just maybe, losing Yoochun would actually be worth it.

“Hey, Su,” Yunho smirked at him, making Junsu even more suspicious of the two of his tall friends who had been standing in front of his locker. “Where’s Jaejoong?”
“Left him behind, why?”
“We kinda need to talk to you, without Jaejoong. Can we?” Changmin asked nicely. Since it was Changmin asking and not Yunho, Junsu nodded and they went to the storage room in the gym. Once they were in, Yunho locked the doors behind him, making Junsu raised an eyebrow. “So…” Changmin snapped his fingers and Yunho immediately hooked Junsu’s arms from behind, holding him in place. “Let’s have some Demon Talk, shall we?”
“Demon…what?” Junsu was startled and Yunho chuckled.
Changmin smirked, “We need to get Yoochun away from Jaejoong, and you’re going to help us break the bond. I don’t see why not, though, it’s a win-win solution for us. Yoochun lose his power, you get Jaejoong back. Fair enough?”
Junsu winced at Changmin, “Who are you?”
“Someone who wants Yoochun to keep his head down.”
Junsu gasped, “Shit, you’re a demon?”
Yunho laughed, “Thank you for noticing, that took you ages!”
Junsu jerked away and freed his hands from Yunho, “Will it harm Jaejoong?”
Changmin shook his head, “I might be a demon but I have heart. I won’t harm Jaejoong.” Just yet, Changmin thought.
Yunho put a hand on Junsu’s shoulder, “We’re on the same side, really. You don’t have to be jealous of me anymore; I was only pretending to like Jaejoong because we’ve been watching him.”
Changmin nodded, “Yeah, we’re sorry that somehow Yoochun was still able to reach him. That shouldn’t have happened.”
Junsu frowned as he studied the two. He knew both of them for almost three years now, since the beginning of high school, and despite his disliking towards Yunho the two had been a good friend to them. Even if they turned out to be demons, they had been trustworthy for the past two years. Junsu finally decided he’d do anything to break the bond, including working with demon Changmin. He then nodded at the offer, “Fair enough. Tell me what to do.”
Yunho and Changmin exchanged glances and smirked.

Jaejoong pouted as he kicked another rock on his way home. Junsu had ditched him, telling him he has soccer practice and told Jaejoong to go ahead. Jaejoong thought that was stupid, he usually waited for Junsu to be done with his practices. What made Junsu shoo him away that day, Jaejoong didn’t know, so he walked home alone feeling even worse than before.
His mind wondered back to Yoochun’s words. Fuck, fuck fuck fuck, Jaejoong swore, but wasn’t sure at who. He could swear at Yoochun for hurting him, at Junsu for making him feel worse with the kiss and ditching him, and at himself for being so stupid. He chose the last one, stupid, Jaejoong, idiot!
“Kicking those innocent stones aren’t going to fix things, you know…” a stranger said to him. He looked up to find a blond man leaning against the wall where Yoochun had leaned on that morning. The man was good-looking, with lines of red highlights on his hair that was combed to the side. The man was wearing a black suit and red jeans with black boots, and unmistakable dragon necklace hung on his neck with a red dragon-skin tattoo on his left eye. He must be a demon, Jaejoong concluded.
“What do you know?” Jaejoong scowled.
“I’d be kicking those stones too if it could make my problems go away…” the guy sighed.
Jaejoong scoffed, “You demons can do anything, it won’t be that hard to fix things right?”
G-Dragon grabbed Jaejoong’s arm and yanked him to the wall, Jaejoong landed harshly against it. He held both of Jaejoong’s hand next to his head against the wall. “Really? Then I might as well kill you ‘cause YOU are my problem!”
Jaejoong groaned and winced at his pained back, “I don’t even know you!”
“I don’t want to know you!” G-Dragon snarled. “But Yoochun needs you! Now because of YOU, Yoochun is suffering! Do you have any idea how much that throne meant for him? Do you?!”
Jaejoong stared at the guy with widened eyes, so he’s Yoochun’s friend. “Why do I care?” Jaejoong scoffed. “All he needs to do is get a stronger human!”
The grip on Jaejoong’s hand loosened. “You don’t understand… Yoochun needs that throne…” G-Dragon lowered his gaze and closed his eyes, “Please, please help him,” he pleaded, voice barely heard.
Jaejoong sighed, “I don’t want to be just a weapon…”
“Selfish!” G-Dragon screamed at him and let go of Jaejoong’s hands. “You’re selfish!”
Jaejoong started to get annoyed, “Yah! Yoochun’s the selfish one!”
“What do you know about him?!” G-Dragon screamed louder, tears swelling on his eyes. “Do you know how they treated him at home? Do you know how he grew up? Do you know what Yunho is like? Do you?!” G-Dragon stopped to wipe his tears. “You have no fucking right to judge him!”
Jaejoong opened his mouth but then closed it in confusion, How did I turn into the bad guy?
“I don’t ever want to share Yoochun with anyone else, but I did cause I know how much it means for him to prove himself better than Yunho…” G-Dragon’s fists clenched on the sides of his body, “I know it was bound to happen, that he will fall for that pretty human mate of his. I know what’s keeping him by my side is his need for security, for love, that is the only thing I can give to him. I fucking gave him up for you, but then you go breaking his heart and dream! You should have seen the look on his face when he told me he gave up the throne this morning!”
G-Dragon took a deep breath and slowly let it out. “He was trying to figure himself out, I know even if he didn’t say anything to me, but you just have to ruin it by driving him out of your apartment. It was only 2 weeks, can’t you wait a little longer, at least?”
Jaejoong bit his lower lips, “Umm…Sorry?”
“Fuck that sorry of yours, it’s useless!” G-Dragon snarled and punched the wall next to Jeajoong’s head, leaving an apparent crack. “Go ahead, hurt him more, break the bond, and I’ll make sure you regret it your whole life!”
“Jaejoong?” the two men turned to find Junsu standing not far from them.
G-Dragon smirked and licked his lips. “Is that Junsu? Yoochun never mentioned he’s this cute,” he whispered to Jaejoong.
“Don’t you dare touch him!” Jaejoong whispered back.
G-Dragon walked back a few steps and grinned, “We’ll see.” He walked Junsu’s direction and winked at the man before walking passed the frowning man and disappeared.

“Great job, my son!” the Demon King smiled and patted Yunho’s hair. Yoochun watched the two; envying how Yunho could do the magic he had been struggling on so easily. Yunho bowed in appreciation to his father and proceed with his practices. The Demon King watched his oldest son with proud reflected on his dark eyes. Yunho was the pride of the Demon King, the icon of Demon Kingdom, the future of the Demon World, and people wondered how the King got another son who is completely useless.
It was rare for the Royal Demon Family to have more than one son to inherit the throne. Everyone had been praising Yunho since he was born, as the baby immediately showed how prospective he was as the Demon Prince. He learned fast, and the Demon King was so proud when he saw poltergeist moment* in Yunho’s room just 10 human days after the baby was born.
Two demon-years later, which is 200 human years, to everyone’s surprise Yoochun was born. The expected poltergeist moment happened 15 human days after the baby was born, but unlike Yunho’s moment where everything was floating gently, the things on Yoochun’s room were thrown around. Everyone ran inside his room after they heard loud crashes, and they saw the floating things were thrown all around the room, crashing to walls. Baby Yoochun was laughing, hands swinging like conducting an orchestra, at every crash that happened.
Seeing that, the Demon king rubbed his temples in desperation, “That baby will be a huge trouble maker when he grow up.” Yunho, even at his young age, winced at Baby Yoochun, and frowned at every crashing sound he made. Yunho’s dislike towards his brother started since, and grew stronger as the two grew up.
The Demon King was right, Yoochun never bothered staying out of problem like Yunho did. While Yunho presented his royal blood perfectly by acting as the decent Prince he is, Yoochun burned one of the castle’s towers when he played flame throwing with G-Dragon. That time, his father has whipped Yoochun so hard that he couldn’t walk for days, although apparently the punishment was nothing for the kid.
Yoochun grew stronger from all the whips and mockery he got. People saw him as a burden, Yunho’s shadow, and looked at him as if he was dirt everywhere he went. Demon King put Yoochun through the same lesson Yunho went through, but Yunho was better than Yoochun because he could control himself. Seeing the Demon King’s praises for his brother, little Yoochun pouted and tried harder, but the spell exploded, burning the curtain of the window next to where he was standing. The Demon King shook his head and put out the flame with a swift hand movement. Yunho smirked, sent a smile indicating how he was looking down upon at his younger brother. Yoochun pouted even more and stormed out of the room.
One day when he was 9 demon-years old, he overheard the Demon King talking to his mother. “I’m worried over Yoochun, my Queen…” the King sighed. “What will he become when Yunho took over the throne?”
“Your Highness, Yoochun is potential to be a king too,” Demon Queen, the only one other than G-Dragon who loves Yoochun, complied.
“He’s the second son, and with a control like his, he could never surpass Yunho.”
Yoochun didn’t hear the rest of their conversation. He stormed to his room in anger and started throwing things. Hearing that, G-Dragon whose room was not very far away ran to his room. “Chunnie, what’s wrong?” he stormed into Yoochun’s room and gasped at shattered things all over the floor.
“I’m out of this fucking castle!” he said, “I’ve had enough. From now on I’m not the Royal Family anymore.” Yoochun flashed his phone open and called Leetuk, Yoochun’s personal butler, to find him a mansion far from the castle. “I’m gonna be the outcast who took over the throne, Yunho can watch me.”
G-Dragon’s eyes widened, “Don’t be stupid, Chunnie!”
Yoochun smiled at him, “Come with me, G, help me get the throne.”
G-Dragon was worried for Yoochun, and ignoring the fact that his parents would be furious, he nodded to the offer. Yoochun snapped his fingers and a fire started on top of his bed. He pecked G-Dragon’s lips and took the hand of the shocked boy. “Let’s go,” Yoochun led him out of the room, ignoring the screams of the servants who found the room on fire.

“Who was that?” Junsu demanded to once again be ignored by Jaejoong. The other man continued to wash the dishes while Junsu sat on the dining table, tapping his foot in annoyance. “Jae, goddamit, he gave you that bruise!” he pointed at the purplish hand-mark on Jaejoong’s wrist.
“Junsu! Stop!” Jaejoong turned around and glared at his friend. “You’re giving me a headache, okay? I can’t fucking think, stop talking!”
Junsu groaned in frustration, “When will you learn? Demons are dangerous!” Jaejoong didn’t reply and continued washing the dishes. “So, about the bond…”
“Stop. Get out.”
“What?”
“If you want to keep talking about demons, find someone else, okay?” Jaejoong rubbed his temple, a dull pain throbbing on the back of his eyes. “I want to sleep.”
Junsu pouted then went out of the apartment, slamming the front door.
Jaejoong sighed and went to bed.
“I CAN’T BELIEVE HIM!” Junsu paced in a circle in his bedroom, shouting at Changmin and Yunho on the other end of the phone line. “Seriously, the hell?”
“That must be G-Dragon,” Changmin explained when Junsu told him what the demon who came to Jaejoong earlier looked like. “Yoochun’s toy boy.”
Yunho chuckled, “So Yoochun had G-Dragon talk to Jaejoong? Yeah sure, like that’ll work. G-Dragon is as fiery-tempered as Yoochun, of course he ended up punching the wall.”
“So, what should I do?”
“Let’s just force him into it,” Yunho shrugged. “It’s kinda easy, all you need to do is get Jaejoong wipe his own blood on the tattoo while we go the rest of the ceremony.”
Changmin agreed, “Yeah, tomorrow night, can you do that Junsu?”
Junsu shrugged, “I guess.”
“Great, we’ll go over details tomorrow at school,” Changmin smirked and winked at Yunho before the line disconnected.
“Woah, that was easy,” Yunho laughed.
“Too easy,” Changmin kissed his mate’s lips, “Let’s get things prepared.”

“Yunho,” Yoochun looked at his brother suspiciously, “Why are you here?”
“I missed you, dongsaeng,” the older smiled.
Yoochun scoffed, “Ah, I thought you forgot you have a brother, hyung.”
Yunho chuckled and sat on Yoochun’s black armchair, putting his legs up the coffee table. “Nice mansion, I’ve never been here.”
“You never cared I moved out of the castle.”
“Who said so? Of course I do, you’re my brother.”
“Sure,” Yoochun rolled his eyes and sipped his Tequila**. “What do you want, hyung?”
“Ah, as you know, the crowning is in two months…” Yoochun gave his brother ‘so what? Like I fucking care’ look and Yunho chuckled. “I’m inviting you to the sacred duel tomorrow night.”
Yoochun almost choked on his drink, “What?”
“You know, the duel for the throne. You want the throne, don’t you?”
“Wanted,” Yoochun corrected, “I’m not interested anymore.”
Yunho rolled his eyes, “Awh, come on. I told everyone you’re coming already! What will they think if you don’t show up?”
Yoochun raised an eyebrow; “You really want me dead, don’t you?”
Yunho laughed, “I’m giving you your chance, dongsaeng.” He got up and headed to the door. “See you tomorrow.”

Jaejoong came home from school to a note hung on his front door.
Yoochun is dueling for the throne tonight. I really hope you don’t break the bond, ‘cause even with the bond intact his chance of surviving is slight. He’ll die, and if he does, you’ll the first person I’ll come to.
-GD-
Jaejoong figured GD must be the demon that came to him yesterday; he sighed reading the note and looked at his watch. The duel probably started already, since he was waiting for Junsu to finish his soccer practice and came home late. He won’t be breaking the bond before Yoochun come to him anyway, since he told Jaejoong he will be the one to take care of it. Jaejoong believed him, he was sure Yoochun wouldn’t say something like that just to get away with his power. Junsu suddenly appeared behind him and snatched the paper away, read it, and scoffed. “Who cares? Let him die!” Junsu crumpled the paper and threw it away.
“Su…”
“What?” Junsu shrugged and himself to the couch, watching Jaejoong as he prepared dinner. His phone beeped, a text from Changmin saying ‘now’. Junsu walked over to Jaejoong who was cutting the onions and hugged him from behind.
Jaejoong gasped when lips brushed his earlobes. “Junsu, what the…”
Junsu grabbed the knife Jaejoong used before, “Time to break the bond, Jae.”
“What? No!”
Junsu grabbed Jaejoong’s hand and sliced lightly on his palm, making his best friend scream in pain. “You have to, and for once I’m not listening to you, Jae.” He pushed the blood-bathed hand to where the bonding tattoo was and covered the tattoo with blood.
Jaejoong pushed his friend away and tried to erase the blood but it was too late. The tattoo slowly disappeared and was gone in seconds; Jaejoong panicked. “What have you done?!”
“Saving you!”
“Saving me from what? The man I love?” Jaejoong shouted at Junsu, the latter’s eyes went wide from the words. “Yes, I love him! I don’t want to break the bond! I want him back! Now he’s going to die, all because of you!”
Jaejoong wanted to cry, but he didn’t have time to. He grabbed a towel from the kitchen counter, wrapped it around his wound, and ran towards the door. The thoughts of Yoochun getting hurt scared him the most, so he ran outside ignoring Junsu shouting his name. He needed to find G-Dragon!
***
Another kick on the stomach and Yoochun fell to the ground. He quickly got up and avoided the flame Yunho threw at him. Yunho smirked and threw another, just in time to scratch Yoochun’s arm before he dodged. The crowd cheered, making it impossible for Yoochun to concentrate. He swore under his breath, he felt like he was going to die.
G-Dragon watched outside the ring of fire with terrified eyes. He kept hoping Yoochun would be alright, also preparing himself if Yoochun got hurt, or even worse, died. He closed his eyes, checking on Yoochun’s bond when suddenly the ball of flame Yoochun was about to throw disappeared. His eyes went wide and quickly found G-Dragon’s, confusion and fear apparent on it. Shit, G-Dragon swore and quickly checked the bond again. It wasn’t there. Shit shit shit. He quickly ran out of the crowd and cursed, if he ever found Jaejoong, he’s so going to kill him!
Yoochun sighed when he saw G-Dragon left, then once again rolled over to dodge Yunho’s kick. He was panting, his body weakened and he was exhausted. Yunho noticed and smirked, “What happened, dongsaeng? Tired? You do realize you’ll die if you don’t fight back, right?”
Yoochun snarled at his brother, “Don’t be ridiculous, Yunho.” He threw a spell that cut Yunho’s shoulder, making the older man groaned in pain. He landed a kick on the same shoulder and Yunho fell.
“Not bad,” Yunho said, getting up and snapped his fingers. The guards from outside the ring threw both of them a sword. The swordfight begun almost immediately as Yunho swung his to the direction of Yoochun’s neck. Yoochun ducked and took his sword, using them to hold another attack from Yunho. Yoochun could feel his body getting weaker, the clashing metal made him dizzy. He missed a step and failed to avoid the kick Yunho landed on his ribs. Yoochun fell, groaning at the floor, and somehow he couldn’t find the strength to get up. “It’s over, dongsaeng,” Yunho smirked.
“Fuck.”
Yunho swung his sword and the audience gasped.
