Tetanus boosters today, plus new bandages and opiates. Now I can at least hobble about a little faster than an arthritic sloth. Hopefully, I'll also be able to wear something other than open-toed sandals in a few days - if anybody sees me wearing Birkenstocks or similar, my street cred's fucked. :)

After a few days of entirely too little sleep, I was planning on heading to bed for ten hours or so around four-ish this morning. Turns out it's not just MP3 files, but all sound, whether in a game or from whatever source. All works fine under Linux, so basically, something went and broke the sound drivers. I don't think I've mentioned lately how much I love Windows' stability and consistency of function.

Earlier today, I upgraded Winamp to the latest version because I was having problems opening streams. Turns out it wasn't Winamp's fault, but my firewall's. All good so far ( Read more... )
