 My car died yesterday. Stalled on 36th St. in Minneapolis on my way to a park in North East. So I called my boss and he came in the Parks truck (in hopes that I could take it to the park I was on my way to) and let me use his AAA card. And then I locked my keys in the car.  Well Brandon's dad is okay. Turns out his kidney function was down (as was predicted by his wife), but not so serious as I had thought. He's been giving fluid through IV and yesterday he ate more food than he had in two weeks.  It is UNBELIEVABLE how much crap you have to go through to get your name changed. People were right when they said getting a new Social Security Card was the easy part. I'm glad I have a copier/scanner because I have to send out a copy of my marriage license or new social security card to my credit card people and loan people. I haven't figured ( Read more... )

 Our marriage license came in the mail while we were gone. So now I can OFFICIALLY change my name with all appropriate parties (it's probably going to take a while.... :-/ ).
