Okay, so I spent the weekend goofing off in WoW-country with my mate, and now I have to get back to work. First up is the dishes, which have been accruing all weekend. Well, I didn't mention it earlier, but plans for today included going out with Dave to buy more RAM and possibly a new video card. Which we did. Then we came home and installed them. And inadvertently killed the fan on the CPU heatsink. It went from a loud blowing noise to the sound of a small prop air plane taxiing. So we went back out and bought ( Read more... )

Or more correctly, Zoe returns. Yes, I finally wiped her old 80 GB hard drive, zero-filled her, took out her old partitions, and now have the full 80 gigs as her active partition. I've spent the last six hours or thereabouts reinstalling everything I need to survive these days. Still got some applications I need to tackle, including a few I'm too ( Read more... )
