React OS ?

I found a reference to this when reading the Linux is not Windows page. To quote from the home page:

ReactOS® is a free, modern operating system based on the design of Windows® XP/2003. Written completely from scratch, it aims to follow the Windows® architecture designed by Microsoft from the hardware level right through to the application level.

Notice how "Free Software" uses caps in the first sentence, and the way "Microsoft Windows(TM)" is juxtaposed in the next clause. And this wouldn't be the only hot-button quality the project is presenting. The Microsoftian NT/post-NT split seems to be carrying most of the energy, and the fact that the ReactOS "file metaphor" (i.e., objects) in principle may be non-hierachical (which is probably impossible, but still.)

Yes, I foresee problems later on, if and when programs are designed for ReactOS that DON'T work on Windows. As far as PLAN 9 goes, I think they're "stupid stupid earth men!" (quote from Plan 9 from Outer Space). ;)
