I just learned that the Flowing Wells District has fired 39 teachers and will not be hiring for the coming school year.

Ever since I decided to be a teacher all I ever heard was "You might not get paid well, but at least you'll always have a job."

Tonight I put my beloved Trouble in the ground. My hands are still speckled with the soil that now surrounds and covers his beautiful body. He has enriched my life in so many ways over the past 18 years. I can't remember much of my life without him in it. What a big day
My parents never thought they would see it happen in their lifetime
Thankfully, they both did
And so did my grandparents
I don't think the magnitude of this election has hit me yet
But I am grateful to have witnessed history being made
And even more grateful that my family witnessed it too

I have worn someone else's shoes, and they are painful and uncomfortable.

I guess I shouldn't feel so upset. I asked for it. But the lack of consideration is more than I bargained for.
