Monday Afternoon: Kitchens feels_no_love April 26 2011, 16:26:33 UTC
His first stop whenever he left his chambers was to go straight by the kitchen. It was very difficult to interact positively with the living while listening thirstily to their heartbeats, and besides, a little blood helped his restlessness. He found a private spot in the corner to drink down his bloodbag, which he did expediently before tossing it in the sharps container by the trash.

Vegas haunted the kitchens pretty regularly. Not out of hunger-just to make sure that they were still there. Clad in a loose fitting Hawaiian shirt-he stops short and stares at the man in the corner...

Before shaking it off. Weakness over comms was one thing. Not in public.

"Hey man."

Vlad wiped his mouth before turning around, a slightly apologetic smile on his face. "I suppose that my feeding habits take some getting used to." He inclined his head.

"Good afternoon. How have you been throughout all this madness?"

"It's uh..."

He shrugs, "Talk to me when you're eating people. I think blood might be okay."

"Out and about-trying to keep the fuck out of these psychos way. Thank god for the wardens man. For a few minutes there I thought we'd all lose our shit but they held through it."

Monday Before Dinner: Library feels_no_love April 26 2011, 16:49:17 UTC
He then visited the library, haven spoken with Edward about possibly getting a position there. Now that he had lost the black mood that had affected him for his first week of captivity, Dracula was curious about what that would be like.

Bertie Wooster lounged on a chair, a large Dostoyevsky novel in one hand and a lit cigarette in the other. He looked up when Dracula walked near.

"What ho, Count Dracula! Or do you prefer Vladislaus?"

"Hello, stranger! Or, how should I call you!" Dracula laughed in amusement at the jaunty greeting.

"I may be working here soon, and if you are a regular here or work here as well, it must needs be Vladislaus." He offered a little bow. "It is always nice to be known and yet not be cringed from."

"Bertram Wilberforce Wooster, but please, call me Bertie." He set the book down and rose to offer his hand.

"Well, the way I see it, I know you, but not, if you see what I mean. That is, I know your name and the bits that Stoker chap wrote in his book, but between the unreliable narrator and the artifice of the epistolary form, the distortion of memory that renders any personal account suspect, not to mention the distinction between reality and fiction, I can't say I really know you at all, what?"

Bertie had spent the morning hip deep in literary theory texts and it showed.

Monday Evening: Pub! feels_no_love April 26 2011, 17:01:34 UTC
Vlad found himself staring through a beaker at a bubbly green potion. It contained the promise of inebriation, at least of some sort, if the potion-maker was not tricking him. Would he or wouldn't he drink it?

As if the answer was any real surprise....

Elric had spent some time on this and to be perfectly honest, he was not entirely certain that it would work. Had he access to the herbs and plants of the Young Kingdoms, and had he more time to learn about Vlad's physiology, that would be one thing, but this was something of an on-the-fly experiment.

"It will not cause you harm; of that I'm certain." Which was true, at least. He really had been quite intent on not poisoning the man.

"Thank you for your efforts. I am grateful merely for the chance to experiment. Besides, my constitution is prodigious; my sense of humor, good. Let us see where this takes me, yes?"

He uncorked the vial and ran it under his nose, frowning thoghtfully. Looked around at the pub patrons, some of whom were watching curiously. Then he shrugged and toasted:

"May this vessel's next...incident...be humorous rather than tragic."

GLUG.

His eyes widened slightly and flashed silver as he strugged to down the whole draught. His body was unused to anything but blood, and for a moment he wondered if he would be able to keep it down. Then he took the last swallow, eyes still a little silvery, and coughed.

"Done. Now...let us see what it does...."

Elric raised his own wineglass in salute. "A toast to which I think we will all happily agree."

He watched Vlad's reactions carefully and looked a little concerned at the change in his eyes; he leaned forward slightly. "How do you feel?"

Monday Late: Greenhouse feels_no_love April 26 2011, 17:04:43 UTC
Still inebriated, he found himself on a long wander across the deck, humming. Eventually he reached the greenhouse, which was a million times more fascinating to his enhanced senses when he was in his cups enough to truly appreciate all the different sights and smells on offer.

Persephone often spent the majority of her time in the Greenhouse, and especially now when that idiot had used it as a place of horror. She knelt among the flowers, humming softly as they crawled over her arms, moving slowly.

Vlad remembered coming here, how full up of anger and glee he had been, and yet somehow still determined to save his new acquaintance. The leap. The feeling of falling. The bite of the glass.

He had intended to check on the place all day, to make certain that the mess was cleaned up and that it wasn't just left to Armand and his associate alone. What he discovered, of course, was the glass properly restored. But more, there was someone within.

So he stood in one corner of the greenhouse, very careful of where he put his feet and limbs, and simply breathed in the smell of living things, both plant and...

...what an intriguing scent. He laughed softly.

The Goddess knew that she was not alone in the Greenhouse. For a moment she simply sat quietly, but several of the flowers turned their heads towards him for a moment before they moved back to her in a manner that was almost shy.

After a moment, she spoke softly, and her tone was amused. "Do you find what you seek, vampire?"

Tuesday Late Morning: Cabin 8-16 feels_no_love April 26 2011, 17:59:28 UTC
Feeling somewhat hung over and thoughtful, Vlad went back to his room for a good think and to check over the Network. He lounged in his window seat across from the door, which he left open in case anyone wished to visit him.
