(OOC: I was just trying to reassure Armand that I wasn't another Borg Queen?)

Mano nodded to Armand's explanation. "I see. Terran breed, diasporan, or neither?" he asked.

When he was invited to sit, Mano did so. "Very well... Armand. If I may ask, what information were you given about my particular situation?"

Armand took an armchair that stood next to his overstuffed bookcase. He didn't want to appear nervous in front of his new inmate, though it was hard not to fidget.

And his confusion was evident as he tried to work out what Mano asked him about the cat. Eventually, he nodded. "Yes, she's an Earth breed. Just a normal cat, although she isn't growing quite like I'd expect. I may have to talk to someone about that."

And when Mano went right to business, Armand pulled a file, not so fat as he'd hoped it would be, out of the bookcase and opened it on his lap. "I know you killed many people. A file can't say how you felt about that, though. What would you like to tell me about that?"

[OOC: I was trying to make a joke of it. If it's not funny, I'll edit. I kind of miss the boat sometimes on what other people think is funny.]

"Ah; I have heard of some felines that were outwardly like Terran breeds, but had differing abilities. The phantom cats of Bgztl, for example; they have a tendency to fall through the furniture they sleep on if they're startled into waking."

Then it turned more serious; Mano's eyespots narrowed as Armand said he'd killed many people. "I will answer that question if you answer mine: who does that file claim is responsible for the death of the Angtuan species?" Because if that file was going along with McCauley's propaganda, then Mano saw no further reason to be friendly with the man, Warden or not.

(OOC-1: Nothing against Armand, but Mano has rather a problem with his reported reputation.)
(OOC-2: No problems; just that some people might not have read the Borg Queen reference and jumped to the wrong conclusion? *wink*)

Armand had no idea what to say about the cats, other than being grateful Freya couldn't walk through walls. She'd be everywhere and into everything and probably eat Marigold besides ( ... )
