Continued adventures in braiding Panda! I think next time I need to do some tail braids. When I get really ambitious I'll scrub her mane and tail and do her up all nice and pretty! It'll just take several hours!

I tried a traditional draft braid yesterday and failed miserably. Well, not quite miserably. It took a little to get in the rhythm of the braid and it was a bit sloppy at first because I pulled it too much towards the side rather than sitting on top of her neck. So yesterday I was a bit shocked to walk out the door and see FROST. EVERYWHERE. The dew on the fences had frozen, we even had some rather minuscule icicles trying to form. The grass was white with frost and I could very clearly see my breath ( Read more... )

I can't remember the last time I was that FILTHY in my life. Perhaps when I was covered in wood shavings after working on that one piece for Sculpture, but wood is clean. I'd much rather be covered in wood dust than rust dust because metal is dirty. Sure, you can't sanitize wood, but it isn't dirty like metal is ( Read more... )

The biggest reason is because I don't like fixing other people's problems. There is much to be said about working with a horse that hasn't learned bad habits or been taught poorly because it's about fifty times easier to teach them what you want than a horse you have to re-teach and un-learn old, bad habits ( Read more... )
