I have two and a half horses to go. Got all the big ones except one foot on Zeke as he turned up with an abscess and was too sore to stand on the other foot. The good news is it appears to be resolving and I should be able to get his other foot. Just have Chewy's front feet and Kitt and Tru-D to go, so all the "little" ones and there you have it ( Read more... )

We got another inch if rqain last night. I think we are coming up on three times the rainfall we had in the last two monsoon seasons combined. People are starting to complain, but I'm not. We desperately need the rain, every single drop, even if it is obnoxious in some ways.

Arizona has a big fat high pressure system sitting over the top of it and the thing isn't budging. I think it was 118 yesterday. Walking outside felt like stepping into an oven and all the air was vibrating with heat. We hosed the horses down twice throghout the day and will be repeating the same today ( Read more... )

The end of Summer so far as the school year is concerned approaches. Some kids are going back next week, which as you might imagine stinks. Especially when it is hovering around 110 still.
