Thanks so much!!

I see! I was so lost and didn't know how to look it up in a dictionary, since it's not the individual words that I didn't understand.... Having read this novel, I feel I wanna start re-studying German again. :)

Vielen vielen Dank!!

Out of sudden, perverse curiosity, is there a term for 'size queen' in Japanese?

I don't think there is a special term for it...not that I'm too familiar with Japanese gay terms. :P
もし、むりやり訳すなら「巨根好き」とかかなぁ。
I made the above sentence Japanese because I was too embarrassed to put the Japanese word in an English sentence where it stands out. (^_^;

英語でも日本語でも「root」というのはそんな意味がある。面白いね。

I think out of this whole post, I am more amused that the words "fist-fucking" have no German translation.

We Japanese have that, too, Americanophilia; though we don' t have a Japanese-origin word for "fist-fucking," at least not that I'm aware of.... : )

LOL! In Japanese it's also "fisuto-fakku" which is the Japanese pronunciation for "fist-fuck." ; )

> I'd think that [...] aber bei sich selbst? means that Snape likes fisting other people but might not like being fisted himself.

Oh, I see; I had it all wrong, the other way round. Thanks for letting me know! : )

> Do the guys in that book happen to be called 'der Schwarzhaarige', 'der Draunhaarige' oder 'der Jüngere' und 'der Ältere' oder auch 'der Größere' und 'der Kleinere'?

Actually, no, because the story is told in first person narrative, but I think I understand what you mean.

If you come across a good German gay novel, please let me know! : )

*rotfl*

ok, after being done with laughing I'll try tto help out.
but be aware - my English isn't the best... ^-^

I would translate this line:
"Hat ja schon wieder was ... der -riesige- Hagrid ... Snape steht bestimmt auf Fist-Fucking ... aber bei sich selbst?"

like this:
"now that's something (or: that's some interesting idea)... that -giant- Hagrid... I bet Snape loves fist-fucking... but on himself ?"

the last part is saying that Snape might likes "f-f", but _not_ as the receiving one.

but I am really confused because I am sure that here in Germany the words "Faustfick" and "fisten" are used - instead of "fist-fucking" (it sounds really odd >.< ).

I'm glad you enjoyed it! : )

And thanks for helping me out; now I get it! I got it completely wrong, the other way round. I've edited my translations.

Actually, we really say "fisten" instead of "Fist-fucking". O_o Though the origin of "fisten" is still "fist" XD And it's mostly the gay-community that uses the english words, and of course, because the heterosexual don't have a word either, they import it from the gays XD

By the way, the German Yaoi Community is really very creepy, but if you want to read a German novel try "Schneewittchens Unschuld" by Maeve Carels. It's really funny and interesting.

And of course, you just had to stumble across one of the worst gay-books ever XD

Anyway, another one would be "Sieben Tuben Leichenblut" though that one belongs to a series and is a bit... strange. There are some that like it - and others don't. Eh, that would be the only GOOD ones XD I try to avoid German Books (and I AM German...), because most are really bad in style and everything.

Vielen, vielen Dank für die Empfehlungen! Die Bücher scheinen ja sehr interessant zu sein. Ich habe mir "Schneewittchens Unschuld" bei Amazon.de vorbestellt. Ich bin gespannt! :)
