Flu, floo, flew.

Apparently it's estimated that Cali. will be one of the hot spots for the "Swine" flu (can I just say how ridiculous I find that name?).

Well, crap.

I'm not particularly worried, but crap.

I wonder if there's a certain group it's more likely to affect like the young or the old.

I'm waiting to see if people will wear masks on campus.

It really seems ( Read more... )

please-just-shoot-me, in recent news, bludgeoned-with-unexpectedness, rodney mckay thinks this is stupid

I wouldn't really worry overly much about it right now. Yes, it is a contagious disease that is potentially deadly, but we have vaccines for a close variation, and probably soon, one made for it. My elder sister is in graduate school for pharmacy and she thought that they were making a mountain out of a mole hill right now.

Yes, the flu has more animal characteristics than we are used to, but it has more in common with human flu than the 'avian' flu, meaning that usually, if you are healthy, it shouldn't be too much worse than the regular flu. She told me that it might make you less susceptible to the 'avian' flu later because it shares sequences with that strain as well.

Have fun with that Essay. No. Really. ;)

Like I said: I love you guys.

*pokes* Science-y people fascinate me.

And, yeah, I'm thinking if it were really bad we wouldn't have notice before people were dropping like flies.

It's just the flu. Seriously.

Have fun with that Essay. No. Really.

You are too kind. Really. I just need to finish my last point, and slap on a conclusion and submit online before 2 p.m.

*continues to procrastinate*

Also: Good luck on your exams!

-Laughs- Me, good at science?! Only if you're talking about conceptual physics! ;D What I just told you was the readers digest version of tuatha's, only known because she ranted it to me two days ago on the phone. And the only reason I got that was because she dumbed it down for me.

I just about freaked out for you at the 2 pm thing, as it's 2:29 pm here, before realizing that you said you were from Cali in your post. :P I r stupid.

Anyway, I finished my exams this morning, but thank you for the luck retroactively! Maybe they'll curve it! (Hopefully)

Good luck on your procrastination exams/papers as well!

I definitely consider physics to be science!

*laughs* Thanks for being worried for me! It's actually ~11:34 a.m. right now.

Eee! *crosses fingers* Well, then. Good luck with your scores!

Thanks!

(OMG! I just noticed your icon. XD Very appropriate!)
