Flu, floo, flew.

Apparently it's estimated that Cali. will be one of the hot spots for the "Swine" flu (can I just say how ridiculous I find that name?).

Well, crap.

I'm not particularly worried, but crap.

I wonder if there's a certain group it's more likely to affect like the young or the old.

I'm waiting to see if people will wear masks on campus.

It really seems ( Read more... )

Oh, and PS,

PORK IS FINE TO EAT!

This seems to be everyone's greatest worry, but when flu viruses start infecting people, it means that they no longer work very well in animals. You're not in danger of catching anything from your dinner, especially since cooking things to the proper temperature kills just about everything in there. It's far more likely to get salmonella or shigella from food than any kind of flu.

I love you guys.

I knew some of that stuff. Especially that pork is okay to eat. (Not that I eat pork much anyway. It's an ick meat for me unless there's bacon involved and I'm switching over to turkey back anyway...)

And I really am not worried, at least not about myself, because of the continual stuff I've read about there being vaccines.

Sometimes I think people just need a reason to panic. I don't know why, everyone knows it'll be the zombies that do us in.
