Firstly - the personal ranting - Hubby’s been working wacky hours again - he lost every day off this past week but this means he should get Thursday - Tuesday off so we're kinda excited about the thought of having an entire weekend together.  His work has apparently just discovered that their back is against the wall financially & they are

Ugh. Overtime. My work is so ridiculous about overtime. It's not like people want to stay late but sometimes our work warrants it. I certainly don't want to stay until 6 PM, but if you want work done right, it's needed. At least they're promised paid days off! I've worked off the clock sometimes (only an hour or so) and never really got comp for it.

Don't you feel older?!! I was having this discussion with my friends and we realized that the first Harry Potter book came out in 1998!!! Wait. That means I was 12. Wow. That's 11 years ago.

The problem with Hubby's work is they are so understaffed (& it's a "school for troubled kids, staffed 24/7 so there's never an "off" time) that it's impossible to not have overtime. So forbidding it is rediculous - they don't have the staff to prevent it
