Seeing her again - it was a never-spoken wish come true and a brutal kick in the gut at the same time, and the only thing he was sure of at the moment was the turmoil churning inside him. My brain just had a funny visual of the two of them talking around an 800-lb Angel. Story for another day, I suppose... :-)

When watching the show, I sometimes thought that part of the problem with Buffy and Spike was that they were never at the same place, at the same time, when it came to their relationship. And that Spike wanted it way more than Buffy did (or that she'd admit to, anyway). So, yeah, Buffy's going to have to work at it harder than she would have before.

I have time so I'm reading this today, now that I've seen the update :)
Illyria is a bit miffed that Buffy came through the portal that she, a god-king, couldn't open, even if she is denying it ;-)
But Spike is so wrong that Buffy came for Angel (and not because she wanted to find him). It colors a bit his behavior and seems to make things worse. Like the conversation went when he told they have to go now.
If Buffy would find the courage to talk to Spike about how she is feeling, maybe that would change his attitude towards her *sigh*
Looking forward to more :)

Heh! Yup, Illyria's miffed. Buffy miffs her. And vice-versa. :-) And Spike's been burned in the past, so he's feeling a bit cautious. But Buffy won't give up just yet.

*nods* Got some strawberry pieces on Friday and I did bake one. I have to try again because I didn't like how the facing (surface?) looked. I still have to get used to my new stove.
