I am beyond delighted that you have picked this story up! The imagery is wonderful..you can sense the alienness of this place. Illyria is in her/his full god king mode and very imperious. Buffy is being a complete idiot not to realize Spike thinks she is there for Angel (Gahhhh smack her please???) Spike is so sad thinking he never had a chance with her yet brave to be there to help her any way. Perfect voices all round.

Thanks so much! I like writing Illyria - her haughty attitude is more fun than I expected. And Buffy, I think, is very aware of what she wants and what she's thinking, but doesn't always clue into other people's feelings. IMO, anyway. :-)
