Late Birthday Fic!

Sep 04, 2007 16:16

I'm back! All settled in at college now, after the craziness of packing and unpacking and orientation and all.

romanticalgirl, here's your birthday fic! Sorry about the delay, which was due to the aforementioned craziness, and also to the fact that I've been suffering from a complete inability to write porn, and agonizing over it. But I've decided to post it as ( Read more... )

*g* I liked it, pornless and all.

I've never read the books or seen the movies, but darn if I don't love the fanfic Archie/Horatio. :)

Yay, thank you!

I highly recommend the movies, as they will make you love the pairing even more. Archie isn't really in the books, but they're great for lots of other reasons.

Ooooh, I like this. heeee mpreg joke - lovely, lovely Archie. Also the little touch of the antislavery pamphlet. ^__^ Nitpick: Quakers used "thee" as the subject pronoun as well, even if it's not proper Shakespearean. *g*

Thanks! That seemed like the sort of thing that would amuse Archie immensely. I just finished reading a book about the abolition movement in Britain, so that inspired me to include the Quaker abolitionist. Thank you so much for the nitpick- I was making up his dialogue based on what I know, which isn't much. Is there a particular line you think I should change to make it sound more accurate?

Probably just "are thee looking" and "thee may find him". :)

Hey, new boots with snoggage are ALWAYS fun subject matter. And you're right, the mpreg joke would amuse Archie to no end.

Also, I wish I could talk like a Quaker - thee's and thou's are so pretty.

That's true. I should really stop worrying about my total inability to make plots happen.

I know! Plus Quakers were really important in the British abolitionist movement, which makes them even cooler.

Awww, thank you, darling! It's always nice to see the boys being sweet and, in Archie's case, ever impish.

You're welcome! *hugs* I'm so glad you like it. They can be very sweet when they're not getting on each others' nerves. =)

That is so cute. Worry not about the pornlessness - isn't porn implied by the mpreg joke? Of course Archie would love the mpreg joke and would never get tired of it until Horatio gets mad :D

The antislavery pamphlet made me think of Amazing Grace, which is love.

isn't porn implied by the mpreg joke? Yeah, it totally is. I just wanted to have a scene after they get back to the inn, but I couldn't get it to work at all. But I'm glad you liked the story anyway!

I love 'Amazing Grace' too, that's what inspired me to put that bit in. =)
