Yes. Bel and Freddie make me want to rip my own skin off; it's all getting a little too much for me. I think you might be disappointed with the treatment of racial politics in 1.02; the show is doing better than Mad Men in that it's actually addressing them directly but I found the way they went about it kind of distasteful and weird -- and really jarring in juxtaposition with the show's portrayal of sexism and even homophobia. But I'm cautiously optimistic about Sey getting to be a more prominent character.

Lol, SPOILER - he doesn't. But there's this bit where that one pixie-looking vampire shows one of the Volturi a vision of what could happen. And in that glorious vision, Carlisle gets his head ripped off, and it's fantastic. But of course, we then find out that it's just a possible future and nothing remotely interesting happens.

SPOILER: basically Freddie wanted Sey to do an interview about racism for The Hour and Sey declined until Camille had soot thrown in her face for living in the same building as Sey - then, having secured the interview with Sey, Freddie invited the white nationalist youth on to interview at the same time without telling Sey, who refused to participate until the very end of the interview when he gave this speech about how great Britain was that we have values like free speech, allowing even white nationalists to air their putrid opinions on public television. It was just a really weird message and far too much about identifying Freddie and Camille as anti-racists (but the kind of anti-racists who'll just steamroll all over the actual feelings of poc in their struggle against racism) and the fact that the emotional turning point of the story had to centre on Camille's trauma was
