She settles in a little town just outside of Paris. It makes sense, of course, that she finds herself here again. This place perhaps is her favorite in-between. This was exactly what I needed today because frankly....my rage meter was pushed to the brink yesterday after Brian Peterson's interviews.
First with absolutely zero mention of Lois in any of their comments (and the whole "the show is about Clark, Chloe and Martha" bullshit) and then with him basically admitting that they did nothing to get Kristen to come back for the series finale. So basically...we never get to see how Lana is doing.
Rage, Maggs. Rage. I make no apologies about the fact that I appreciate Lana. It does not in any way detract from how much I love and adore Lois. But Lois and Lana are my top two women in Smallville.
And yesterday, my rage meter for both of them was on high alert.
So thank you for this. I needed it. :)

And then I read the rest of your comment the show is about Clark, Chloe and Martha -- WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? I have no words. None. I'm sorry. I can't even compute this. Fuck you very much, Brian Peterson, sorry for the French, well actually, I'm not. This is just appalling. Appalling. Ludicrous.

Thank you, I love the women on this show for the most part--particularly when I don't listen to the fandom crazies or the showrunners for some of them (ie. Chloe). I love Lana and Lois. They deserve all the fic in the world because if BP really said that, it's clear to me that the writers fail to see just how special BOTH characters and their narratives are. Oh, but I hate everything.

I think your characterization of her is perfectly on spot. There are just so many wonderful character notes that I love--the adventurous sex, Paris and painting and so many other things. You're right, her existence has never been all about Clark, nor has she ever been the villain some make her out to be. She's a very multifaceted character and you've captured so much of what I love about her. Thank you.
