What do you mean? Relative to sea level I'm at 353m (not that high for Austria) and relative to street level I'm on the fourth floor (pretty high for Austria. Also a pain in the ass for carrying up groceries.)
I've never heard of people doing that, which is weird considering Austria must be full of people baking at 5000ft. Do you change the temperature or anything else as well? My dad does a lot of mountaineering, and he once had freshly baked cake at around 23,000ft (in the Himalayas) where the boiling point is something ridiculous like 70°C/170°F. That must take some serious baking skills.
