Sooo...why do they escape?

It's bloody cold here at the moment, to the point that I wear socks when I sleep so that my feet don't freeze. This, however, raises the question:

Why are my socks never on my feet when I wake up in the morning?
Do I kick them off while still asleep? How do I not feel it? Especially when it's long socks. If they reach nearly to my knees, one would ( Read more... )

stuff, a rilwen is saying strange things again, annoyances, random, weird

I'd think that explained it, if it weren't for the fact that they usually don't vanish one at a time, and they turn up somewhat sheepishly after a bit of hunting for them.

I peel my socks off with my toes while I'm sleeping, and my friend Deb does the same thing, according to reliable witnesses.

I don't know, some people find that shit freaky, the sleep-sock-removal. :D

Well, given that I pick things up with my toes when I can't be bothered using my hands, I'm not one to call that freaky. XD

LOL

I think the sock gnomes are harvesting your socks for evil plots. They plan a rebellion with socks as their army. When the time is right, the socks will attack us on order from the gnomes.

Agent Moon says that it is a machination of the talking flowers and their singing razor minions. But Moon says everything is a machination of the talking flowers, including SpongeBob.

Perhaps your bedroom is the location of a minor dimensional shift, the aftereffects of which cause your socks to move away from your feet.

Agent Moon is probably right about SpongeBob. Something like that has to be a plot. It cannot have come about except as an instrument of fear.

Hmm...given the amount of odd things here, dimensional shifts wouldn't shock me. :p

I think I managed to scare them into submission; recently they've been staying on my feet. And then I wake up of a morning and need to kick them off to cool my feet down. :p
