[After all of the things Celes has witnessed in Mayfield, she's done a rather admirable job of keeping scarce. She knows that she needs more information, however, and after everything has gone back to Mayfield "normal", she's chosen to take a walk down the street to get a better idea of her brand new prison.]

Of all the... alien things. [Celes ( Read more... )

[Ky also happens to be out for a walk. Of note is the fact that his right arm is in a sling.]

Excuse me, are you looking for something?

[Celes crosses her arms as she looks over Ky. She keeps her expression flat and guarded, who knows if this man is anything like those strange automaton people that call her (cheerfully even) "Mrs. Flac?" Better to err on the side of caution.] Not anything, actually. I'm only walking.

It's a... [Quickly, quickly, she tries to think of something cordial to say.] rather nice day out.

[Oh dear. Looks like we've got a cautious one.]

If you're worried about keeping up the facade, don't be. I'm a prisoner here, just like you.

[Can you blame her? They're making her wear dresses.]

I see. [Celes relaxes a whole iota.] And you are?

[Ken's outside in his driveway fixing a kids bike. He is also swearing like a sailor because the chain wont do what he wants it.]

God damn it. My motorcycle is less of a bitch then this thing to fix. [Grumble grumble grease smear]

[Celes tilts her head to the side, observing him, but more interested in the string of obscenities coming from his mouth.]

Is it really that hard?

Eh? WAH! Sheesh... sorry, I didn't notice you were there. [He grins and sets the tools down.]

Nah, it ain't that hard, it's just being stubborn.

Just being stubborn? [She edges closer, inspecting it.] So what isn't it doing? Aside from staying on?

[And she'll run into a little girl, sitting outside and sketching. There are moogles dancing in front of her.]

((Correct me if I'm wrong, but you took Celes from a time before she met Relm, yes? This should be interesting. XD))

[Augh, moogles. Celes is struck by a horrible, cuteness overload. Followed by horrible confusion. Moogles definitely do not fit in with the theme of this strange, little prison town. Still, Celes can't help it; she edges closer to the moogles, and thus the little girl, attracted to the pom-poms.]

((You would be correct! <3))

[Relm looks up... and stares.]

Celes?!

[Celes wrinkles her brow in confusion.]

Yes? [She is clearly not used to small children calling out to her, pardon the wide-eyed expression, Relm.]

[Perhaps unsurprisingly, Dias has chosen to do much the same as Celes. And, since they apparently think alike, it's also not much of a surprise that they run into each other.] I didn't know you were out here.

I didn't know you'd left, either. [She puts her hands on her hips and raises her eyebrows] Have you seen anything worth noting? [Because she hasn't, and that bothers her.]

That depends on what you consider worth noting.

It seems to be a very average place. Almost ridiculously average, now that it is "fixed". [She shrugs.] I had wondered if anything was still out of place, but-- [She stops short and points to a viking ship in the front yard.]

Please tell me you see that.

[On the porch. WATCHING. In a conspicuous military uniform.]

[What the hell, she's being watched. Celes turns her head to the porch and assess the threat of the woman on the porch in the military uniform. She raises her eyebrows in silent question.]
