Oh, the plan wasn't good. It relied on far too many variables. But in the abstract, it wasn't so bad-- Queen Sacrifice, with Shinou as the queen (insert Murata Ken joke HERE). And it's hard to tell how much Shinou was...er...himself by the endgame, which makes it a bit more difficult.
And yeah, I thought they were going for a different twist for a while (Goldan Compass-style, the wrong side won the war), but this turned out well, I thought.
Yeah, and with KKM, the message is generally that there isn't a 'wrong side' per se-- even the Big Bad wasn't a proper entity, just some ticked off emotions.
That's a painfully low bar, yes, but I'm glad he measures up on it.
Hahah, yes. I felt more for Ken than you did, though-- old boyfriend was probably listening in the whole time, so when could he let people know what was going on?
